It's called "clever play" when England's Captain does it. By some, yes. Plenty of others call it diving etc.

I was alright with it not being a red for that challenge on Saka. Refs have to have some discretion regards intent so it wasn't 'a clear and obvious error' for VAR to intervene.
What irked me was the fact the ref saw the high boot over the ball, saw evidence of the force with the blood on Sakas leg and still didn't give a yellow. It was so obviously dangerous and lacked control even if accidental.
That left Christie free to continue to make 'robust challenges' and 'good professional fouls'. Just seems like the bar for players to get yellows in the first half is far too high and that has consequences.

The Saka assault wasn't even given as a foul was it? The game restarted from a dropped ball, utterly awful refereeing.

I think trying to judge intent is what leads to so much inconsistency though, I'd much rather have easier to implement rules that occasionally seem a bit harsh. Go above the ball with a studs up challenge and you're off. Fabio Vieira was sent off for this challenge earlier in the season, for me it's a fair enough red www.youtube.com/watch?v=-6MX1yuCJMk

Agreed, and you know what the biggest difference between the two is? The time on the clock.

Even if there’s no intent you can still walk for dangerous and reckless play

Fowler is no surprise but Sutton and there being no one since those two are things I’d not have guessed.
And who had Chelsea finishing ahead of United when it felt like they hadn’t won a game until about February

My hope in West Ham getting anything against City has diminished.

Having talks with other managers publicly has really helped West Ham

Assuming city steam rolls the final games, playing the way we did and losing to villa will be the regret.
I am fully expecting us to lose to utd though lol

Seriously, how are West Ham still top half? Every time I check the PL scores they seem to get getting royally dicked.

Interesting line up from Ange today. I wonder whether Sarr will push further forward to help with the press.
I like that he has dropped Maddison as he’s been poor recently. Shouldn’t be guaranteed a place in the team.

My hope in West Ham getting anything against City has diminished. As long as they get something against Luton (man I feel like such a peasant in comparison).

Can see Arsenal's GD advantage being under threat when City play Spurs, this is woeful.

We once again look afraid to shoot and are trying to get the 6 yard tap in.

Salah couldn't have looked more miserable after scoring and the commentator starts talking about his giant smile 🤣.

Most dangerous shot so far for Spurs was Porro blasting it at his own fans.

Dragusin can’t be impressing in training . To have Emerson on Salah is suicide

Spurs just never look dangerous going forward either Our attack is so slow that teams have everyone behind the ball before we even get into the other half.

Probably time to give up hope that they'll continue to be a bogey team for the cheats.
