Well, we've got threads for other platforms, so why not one for iPlayer.
Just like the BBC, when you got ferreting in the basement, you find all sorts of stuff, from absolute gems, to historic oddities.
The Computer Programme from 1982 - Hard to image computers not being as ubiquitous as they are now and even the absolute basics having to be explained to the nation.
What's that, you feel a sudden desire to watch an episode of Jim Davidson's snooker based quiz show Big Break from May 2001? here you go.

On that note, why is The Thick Of It not available on iPlayer?
I could maybe understand them not making series 1 and 2 available, what with the child abuse shaped elephant in that particular room, but the two specials and series 3 and 4 as well? What gives, Beeb?

Yep, all four are on Britbox. Presumably, it still has commercial value, so it stays on the pay streaming services to earn them a bit of money.

I'm still miffed The Sarah Jane Adventures isn't on iplayer despite every other Dr Who / Torchwood thing being on there. Er.. Killing Eve and Gentleman Jack are good. For some reason they've had the 2 Tomb Raider movies on there for years. And OG King Kong!

Gaming Music at the Proms BBC Proms2022 For the first time, the BBC Proms dedicates an entire concert to gaming music. Conductor Robert Ames leads the electronically enhanced Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in this specially curated programme that takes audiences on a sonic journey from 8-bit to infinity. Nostalgia for millennials is guaranteed as the concert opens with two newly commissioned compositions that weave together 1980s and 1990s gaming music, from Chronos to Pokémon Red, as well as instantly recognisable digital sound effects. The lush orchestral scoring of Final Fantasy VIII and Kingdom Hearts form the centre of the programme, which culminates in the European concert premiere of Hildur Guðnadóttir and Sam Slater’s experimental score for Battlefield 2042. www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m0019tp4

Gaming Music at the Proms BBC Proms2022 While I'm grateful they did it, I'm 5 minutes in and the main presenter is already doing my head in. This did remind me that I'm going to see Distant Worlds in a couple of months there though, which makes me very happy.

I saw a BBC3 documentary last night called Jobfished where an instagram phoney had set up a marketing business and recruited loads of people and was pitching to real clients but it was all fake and he’d basically stolen or made up all the senior company people and their cvs and portfolios. Basically all the classic catfish tropes but it was an entire company. www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m0014sbz/jobfishedBBC3 seems to specialise in this sort of documentary making at the moment and they’re pretty good at it even if I’m not sure who the market really is for the films. I guess its partially an apprenticeship for young film makers being recruited for careers in tv.

I haven’t seen all the Dave era stuff so might jump on that if I can resist a full rewatch from the very start.

Snowfall.
Bingeing the last series, the sixth. Well worth a watch if you're into crime dramas.

It must be on IPlayer.
Watching 'The Ascent of Man' on BBC4.
So fascinating. So of it's time. So great. BBC at its best and golden age.

Anyone watched "The Power Of Parker"? Yes. Decent actually.
Its got a definite Peter Kay/Car Share humour to it (Paul Coleman was the co-writer on Car Share). It's set in 1990 and has some lovely touches to it; like an early 90s style recap at the start of each episode that is presented in 4:3 format with a dodgy VHS filter over the top of it.
Its gives you that feeling that its going to be one of those shows that people find after the next show is a massive hit.
Edit: Having seen all of it now, I'd upgrade it from the above. Good ending and the worth sticking with. I reckon people who are old enough to remember the early 90s will love it. Anyone under 30 will probably struggle with it a bit and will miss a lot of the references.
I'm sure it will get a second series.

Saw the 6th Commandment. Very good and the main lead was creepy as fuck. Has made me want to read up on the actual case, it seems this drama followed it extremely closely.

The Following Events Are Based on a Pack of Lies
I've still got two episodes to go on this, but I've enjoyed the first three.
At the start I wondered where it was going for a bit - the hook that makes you buy into the main character is not explicitly stated until about 30 - 35 minutes into the first episode - but after that you're rooting for her all the way. Gaslighting, ghosting, manipulation, brainwashing and abusive relationships may not seem like the ideal subject matter for a comic drama, but the black edge to it makes it work, and the stark way that it switches to some of the sinister stuff and the prolonged after-effects makes it hit home all the more.
The production plays with the viewer as well; you're told one thing by one bit of dialogue, only to find out that it's not quite the full story, which then leaves you doubting a character you thought you could trust.

Woman in the Wall
"It's good. It's very good. It's fucking excellent and it's fucking grim. Ireland's mother & baby fuckery so not exactly laugh a fucking minute but so well made it manages to get a grin in every now & again. And a wee cry in the next fucking scene."

For those of you who didn't watch Series 1 of The Tourist (why not? you idiot) Watch it before Series 2 starts in January Font Geek's @rummonkey said:
"Really quite enjoyable. Weird enough and good humour make some of the more ridiculous goings on watchable. All the cast play it up well and I loved the hilariously dark ending. 8/10"

The Tourist is ace. Also ace, by the same writers, is Boat Story. Only 6 episodes but nicely self contained, with a Fargo-ish feel. It has a definite British sensibility. Some great off-hand northern sweariness.

+1 for Boat Story and the Fargo comparison from me.
Also, After Life another dark comedy from Daisy Haggard that might scratch a similar itch.
