How long did you need to wait for the beta invite? Signed up a few days ago but nothing yet. Including in spam. I only signed up after Kal posted it up here with the awesome SuperZombie stuff. So maybe 3 days at most? |

I also got my Midjourney invite, and while it's clearly better at producing art than the craiyon thing, it's REALLY annoying to use. Why Discord? Why? I mean, it's cool that you can see what others are creating, but scrolling around in such a fast moving chat is horror.

Here's some sequence of the same prompt. I told it to draw a samurai in the style of greek aramis. First it produced this:
Then I told it to make new variations of the second tile (upper right) by pressing the V2 button, and it produced this:
I then upscaled all of these tiles by pressing the U1 - U4 buttons and it produced the following 4 images:
Finally, I wanted to see what "upscale to max" button does, so I pressed it for the third picture in above series and it produced this:
Seems it didn't really do much in the last step. It probably depends on the style of the image, and this abstract style with few details was not well suited for max upscaling.

It seems to be mostly good at fusing specific things together or redrawing scenes in a different style. It's not very good at doing exactly what you tell it to. Some dude tried to get a young woman with long blonde hair using airpods walking in front of a green screen, and the hair was very beautiful, but it couldn't create a human face worth a damn. It can occasionally create halfway decent human faces with the right prompt that doesn't focus on other things, though, like this for example:
