What if my ham has been dry-cured in the city?
Also RIP Freddy.

What if my ham has been dry-cured in the city? Also RIP Freddy. "There's still ham in the city" Said the butcher on the beat "I don't think you can stop it I bring the meat to the street." (with apologies to Mr Young)

Bread from 10/5/23, pate from 25/04/23, bread needed a little bit of de-furring but otherwise Fred lives. Horp. What the fuck is wrong with you?

(Very) out of date pork tonight (don't tell Mrs Mercury) but just took a (test) mouthful of double cream, Christ almighty that did not taste right, even Fred has his limits.

Why do you have so much out of date food?
And why do you keep eating it?!

Fed my bunch some cream of vegetable soup last night - largely cauifower leaves bulked out with the dregs from the bottom of the salad/veg drawer. Went down a treat with some nice bread.
Paid well over a pound for a cauliflower the size of a tennis ball, buggered if I was chucking the leaves out.

Pork chops are such an underrated bit of meat. Cheap and ridiculously tasty if done right.

Recipe? I'm all for using up dregs! Sorry missed this! Just regular fridge soup! Use them as any other veg in a soup you are blending. It is a thing, it's not just me being tight! eg BBC soup

I made Xinjiang Lamb Ribs Which went much better than my attempt to make borscht at the weekend, I just can't get stocks right.

I just can't get stocks right. There is nothing difficult about stocks. I don't know what you're talking about. The first step, as we all know, is to consider the thermal transfer over the thickness of the cooking repository apparatus. Obviously, it goes without saying, you have to factor in the interstitial condensation elements and the local relative humidity. Whilst considering the desired relative density of the final product... /Blumenthal

It was actually better than I thought! It might be a late night contender based on how easy it is to make (vital if you're pissed)

I'm all for the sniff test when it comes to food, but chicken a week passed its use-by would be going in the bin. Mind you, we did buy some TGI Friday wings from the fresh section a few months ago. Got them home and realised they were use-by end of July. Fuck knows what was in them...

Surely Freddie is on borrowed time now. You can only live on the edge for so long.

Dear WHO,
I would like to inform you of a burgeoning pandemic risk centered in a terraced house somewhere within the UK....

Be careful on entry, as the house is protected by an army of cats.
