Strong “Developers! Developers! Developers!” vibe from Elon in that video.

bbc reporting that "musk has been in regular contact with Putin" this last year and I don't understand why that cunt hasn't been arrested yet. Putin has invaded one of our allies, he has deployed nerve agents in the UK, we are supplying shells, bullets, missiles to defend against his brutal aggression and deploying sanctions against his regime
do business with Putin and you're a god damn traitor. When the richest man in the world does it he's actively acting against the interests of the US, and the west in general

When the richest man in the world does it he's actively acting against the interests of the US, and the west in general I read the WSJ article on this today l, it's paywalled but it does go into a lot of detail and the implication is that they're fully aware but it's a keep your enemies closer kind of thing going and obviously he's aware that security organisations know how deep he's in with all that fucking dodgy money. I still maintain that once he's outlived his services to the Saudis/Russians he'll just go "missing on a yacht". All this desperation screams of a man who knows he's fucked if Harris wins.

Didn't he basically say so? "I'm in trouble if the Democrats win!", just before starting to give millions to Trump.
We live in hope.

Yeah he did, in a joking way but obviously there was something else going on in the background. Also could the government just seize SpaceX under national security reasons if it came to it?

With the amount of contracts that the NSA and Nasa have with spacex alone I think they'd have no choice but to seize control at a certain point if it became apparent just how much control a foreign nation had over the company.

company that regularly launches spy satellites for the US government owned by man in regular contact with Putin does not compute and can't be sustainable

USA knows what he's been doing and understand he's useful to a point and then send him on his way when he's outlived his usefulness to them and the same for Russia too. It just depends which one tires of him first.

Starlink parts being found in Russian drones is not a good look.

There’s been rumours that Starlink might get nationalised.

Or Spudlink.

I was disappointed not to read the words "Musk will end up losing everything and have to live under a bridge with frogs and toads like an actual fucking troll" in this article.

i find crypto currency investing just fucking bizarre. That article says "legendary billionaire investor Paul Tudor Jones warned "all roads lead to inflation," telling CNBC that he's "long gold" and "long bitcoin" as a result."
I mean gold I can kind of understand, as it's a scarce resource and it's usefulness and value is tangible. It's not only shiny but a crucial and finite resource. Bitcoin is finite, but useful?
It's quite depressing that something that feels so intrsincially hollow has become an investment thing. Just investors wanking over each other.
I'm drunk.

Counterintuitively, the reason for Gold's value as an investment rests on its uselessness. Platinum is rarer, but not seen as investment because it is useful (currently used in catalytic converters). If that use is usurped by an emerging technology, than it's value will fall, making it a less stable investment than gold. Bitcoin is fucking magic beans though, what nonsense.

It’s the perfected form of investing in general. Something that just represents the feelings of rich people and idiots.

I thought gold is used fairly extensively in electronics? Like gold is used in electronics for connectors and such, and is pretty critical. Thin I read somewhere that every phone has about 3 dollars of gold inside it. Just not quite sure it's entirely useless
