The man owns a platform that spread racist disinformation about a child murderer online that led to race riots here in the UK. Disinformation which, he also spread himself, and he acts like this over not being invited to the UK.

Elon Musk’s X is now worth less than a quarter of its $44 billion purchase price, according to a new estimate from investor Fidelity.
The asset manager’s Blue Chip Growth Fund now values its stake in X, formerly known as Twitter, at approximately $4.19 million, based on newly released disclosures from Fidelity’s Blue Chip Growth Fund. The firm’s unit has reduced the value of its holding in X by a total of 78.7% as of August end.
For context, Fidelity had initially invested $19.66 million in X through the Blue Chip Fund, as per regulatory filings. This isn’t the first time Fidelity has cut the value of its holding in X. As of July’s end, Fidelity had valued its shares in X at about $5.5 million.
This 78.7% markdown implies that Fidelity is currently valuing X at about $9.4 billion overall. (TechCrunch’s assessment assumes that Fidelity’s investment in X was made at a $44 billion valuation. The acquisition was financed through a combination of equity and debt.)
Fidelity declined to comment. X didn’t respond to a request for comment.

I would imagine it's for the decreased regulation from the FCC especially around Starlink and you know gutting as many as workers rights while still proclaiming he's for the people. He truly is the example they talk about of immigrants coming over and ruining the country and the lives of its citizens.

A lot of his greatest personality defects seem to stem from the fact that he can’t bear the fact a lot of people think he’s a cunt. It’s funny how quickly liberal principles wash away from some mild pushback.

The fun part will be when their two massive egos disagree on something, and it may be as simple as one thinking the other is more popular. The fallout will be hilarious.
In other local news the one Trump 2024 flag I saw in our immediate neighborhood has been taken down and replaced with a Harris/Walz yard sign. Anecdotal and all that but I do feel like it’s going to be an overwhelming Dem win, especially now there’s signs that Texas of all places might flip blue.

Also, more reasons why you shouldn’t trust polls. There was a story on NPR the other day about how a bunch of right wing pollsters have managed to sneak in inflated results either via recalled vote (ie taking the 2020 voting as a statistic) or just outright lying (ie taking a Fox News poll and extrapolating it across all demographics) into most of the major poll aggregators.
Edit: thought this was the US Politics thread. Might as well be with how Musk is at the moment.
