I guess they don't have many big corporate advertisers left, and the weird independent alt-right advertisers won't care.
I say this every time, sorry, but if the journalists would stop posting everything on Twitter/X and post it somewhere else, I'd never have to interact with it at all. But all the embeds I see here about the election, the trump trial, etc.. are all from Twitter/X.

I finally saw a cybertruck in the wild. At first I thought it was someone being a joker by putting cheap siding on a crappy pickup, but nope, it really does look like that. The body was tarnished and turning a weird beige yellow that makes it look like a mutant version of the Austin Allegro my granddad had in the 80s.

I haven't had the pleasure of seeing one yet, but I'm genuinely surprised that they didn't do the same think they did with the deloreans, because I still see those around and they still look fine after more than 40 years.

There's lots of different grades of stainless steel that have different properties, maybe John DeLorean actually bought the right stuff? Probably his only wise decision in the whole business.

I haven't had the pleasure of seeing one yet You probably won’t, it currently isn’t safe to be sold in Europe. He’s somehow managed to choose the smallest market imaginable to make a vehicle for

I doubt it will ever be safe to be sold in Europe. And given how the USDA operates perhaps it won't be deemed safe in the US.
In 3 to 5 years.

Pity Dumb Money didn't actually make any, I would rather like a sequel if this GME insanity returns.

Pity Dumb Money didn't actually make any, I would rather like a sequel if this GME insanity returns. Well it looks like someone is, or will at some point. Another 30%+ after hours. I don't understand any of this stuff properly but it feels like there's something real happening for someone.

Maybe don't call it "Full Self-driving Mode" if the car can't fully drive itself.

$56 billion pay package.
For fucks sake.
I would give every penny I have to somehow bring about a situation where Musk has no choice but to stand still and take it while Peter Capaldi screams creative obscenities at him for ten hours straight.

It's not fully confirmed with lawsuits and appeals aside but yeah it's actually fucking disgusting that one person be given that much money and especially THAT person.

I really don’t want to get a Tesla just because of him. If other similar spec cars didn’t cost almost twice as much to lease then it would such an easy choice, instead it could mean I go petrol again next year.

My wife's nephew has a new one. Frankly while it looks alright, it's full of tech for the sake of tech and being "futuristic" and the result is in many ways a bit wank. Like how you have to use the fucking touchscreen to open the glove box.

My mate bought one recently and I was quite horrified by how distracting it all is. It shows a lidar(?) view of cars around you except it's absolutely shit so they are constantly popping in and out of view, suddenly changing orientation etc. It would drive me nuts to have that in my peripheral vision. He seems to like it but he likes Andrew Tate as well so make of that what you will.

Having speed readings on the touchscreen in the middle of the console and not in front of the driver is a horrible and dangerous design.

Not sure that’s its biggest UI issue.
It’s purely the cost combined with the charging network. On lease it works out cheap compared to everything else that is a viable option.
I drive an Audi now so I’ve less of an issue being seen as a cunt on the road, but still.

Surprising that they managed to find live monkeys to be scratched by, considering how many animals Neuralink apparently goes through.

He seems to like it but he likes Andrew Tate as well so make of that what you will. I got picked up by a Tesla taxi last week and at first was quite intrigued by the screen - it's a good size, seems to be nice and bright and sharp - but that view of the road and what's around the car, glitchy is an understatement. I wouldn't even trust it for parking at slow speed. It also felt incredibly cheap (for the price you pay), my 10 plate Skoda is far from a luxury car, but the Tesla felt flimsy in comparison.
