Does the UK getting to keep Twitter mean we can count this as a Brexit bonus?

Does the UK getting to keep Twitter mean we can count this as a Brexit bonus? Not sure about current legislation but I'd imagine the pretty terrible Online Safety Bill if it passes would probably have a similar opinion on Twitter as the EU.

Seems Twitter is starting to break for me. Getting completely blank tweets showing up, just showing the profile photo in the feed followed by a blank space where the text should be.

If you don't like Elon I guess you're all just scared of free speech. Meanwhile

It seems to no-longer have that really annoying thing asking you to login if you scroll down more than about 4 tweets. I'm almost willing to forgive everything else if they're gotten rid of that.

Oh I've been using fritter to bypass that ballache for a while. No doubt he'll try to lock it down soon. Or not, as he has no idea what he's doing.

iirc he hired the guy who jailbroke a bunch of phones to sort out some stuff on twitter, and that guy said one of the first things he wanted to do was get rid of that annoying popup.

The worst thing is, there will be a queue of American crypto incels and Indian tech bros a mile long to be the first to get lobotomised

Let the crypto bros volunteer, let's have some schadenfreude in their self-inflicted misery.

I really don't get it, maybe losing 44 billion dollars made him snap for good?

So far the “Twitter files” is “some people from various politician’s teams reported tweets”
Oh no.

I really don't get it, maybe losing 44 billion dollars made him snap for good? He borrowed the money 'as an investment.' He hasn't personally lost a thing. The rich don't have to pay debt, or go bankrupt like the rest of us. He also seems to forget where his money came from, his initial money, from an (inherited) Emerald mine in South Africa, Tesla and SpaceX majorly subsidised from government subsidy and the fact that he isn't where he is due to his genius. He used other peoples intellects to create those companies. You could argue that it was his genius to facilitate them, but it was mostly government subsidy, Universities and other peoples talents that created him. What a cunt.

He borrowed the money 'as an investment.' He hasn't personally lost a thing. Oh yeah, but even the most forgiving investor will usually demand you make at least a bit of an effort before squandering his money down the drain. At least, such a venture should make it a bit harder for him to find capital in the future.

I really liked the bit where Taibbi made it clear there was no government involvement whatsoever in having the story marked unsafe Which has led to the MAGAs declaring Biden needs impeached and folks sent to prison over the conclusive proof that the government censured Twitter There is no hope for these people. Hitler had terrible ideas. Because he focused on the wrong qualifiers

Well if Trump gets his way, he can tear up the constitution and Musk might have a chance. Actually nevermind, we all know Trump assumes the role of God King Emperor forever

He is absolutely a giant worm.”

Be a real pity if it went hideously wrong when he has one implanted, although given his lack of rational thought maybe he already has had one installed?
