Looking to acclimatise to a new GUI and missing some of the EG options already. Though could just be my lack of acumen and application.
Any way to force threads to show latest page by default and not the first page?
As funny as many of you are, I'm not one for repeat reading.

Is there a way to force the board not to be in full width? Or is that a site-wide setting.
I find it harder to read than the traditional 900px or so width.

Yeah, this does feel much more familiar on desktop now.
I kind of like the shoutbox for potential short-lived hilarity. Can that be activated on mobile view or nay?

Is the forum code moddable in any way? The home button must point to the recent threads page. Or maybe there’s a way to show the forum categoryless?

What's the equivalent to "Reply" in this place? Do we just @ the username or is there a way of replying to a particular post without quoting it?

If you reply (top right) on desktop mode you get a LOT of tagging options.

dfunked I got no notification even though I have: Tag Someone tags you in a post ...ticked in my notification settings  I've used the desktop reply function to tag you in this one, maybe that's the way

There's a plugin library that may contain things to cover some of the requests here www.proboards.com/library/plugins/Obviously this is entirely at the discretion of His Eternal Reverence Esteemed Founder neilka or whoever else has the keys to get under the hood and start, er plugging Edit- or are these installed per-user rather than forum-wide? I think it has to be by those in charge. I checked some of the themes yesterday and downloaded one but wouldn't let me install in the settings.
Some nice ones there, dark, minimalist.
Just checked and "Visit the library from your admin panel to directly install themes", so seems like it would be easy enough.

But the mobile view is not ideal. Three things for mobile view which I would love dear FG Overlord: 1) 'Last Page' button (currently you have the click the thread, then the tiny number of the last page) 2) 'Recent' button at the top of the page on mobile view (currently you have to select it from the navigation drop down menu) 3) Improved distinction between posts. The combination of horizontal lines and alternative grey/white shading makes it very hard to parse who posted what. Gradually getting used it mind. PS: if required, happy to chip in money towards keeping this thing going. |

It’s pretty much the colours thing for different posts that I’d prefer a little more distinctive if possible. I can adapt to that and anything else though.
