I was spectating Nick playing against a Chun Li with Modern controls and the motherfucker on that end was pressing what seemed like every button going.

Can you do training without interference in battle hub? Kind of want to try something out instead of getting my ass kicked all the time lol You can but it has to be at an arcade unit and even then someone can challenge you Yeah if you find a quiet server and hide in the corner you can practice without getting disturbed normally. Man the netcode in this game is so good that I don’t really think about it. |

GGs Jambo. I can’t genuinely can’t feel my thumb. Not a bad outing for the ps5 pad, though. Held up well.
I really like Jamie but you were just outputting far more damage than me so it was hard to reel you back in even when I got juiced. Juri seems fun, though.

GG indeed, that Octa pad definitely wears your thumb down after 3-4 hours of playing and now my wrist absolutely aches. We need more players to get together in a server. |

I've just had a lot of fun tonight, it's such a good game. |

I think I've said this before in the thread, but Capcom have done a great job at making the game _feel_ good to play. I'm not entirely sure what combination of factors it uses for this, but it's fast and fun and.. flexible?
Having said that, I'm hopeless at doing drive rush combos on pad - something about the motions just doesn't work in my head right now.

There seems to be a hell of of a lot of moves that are safe on block. That's going to be my biggest learning curve after missing out on 5.

It's the far left corner, it says the plan is for there to be a rotating game every so often with challenges and prizes for being on the scoreboard.

Played for about 4 hours last night. Really rather good isn't it. I am super impressed how everything just works and is designed really well.
I'm leaning towards Luke and Jamie at the moment, although I realise I don't know how to play Jamie and was just mashing and learning as i went. I think he has a drink meter and so I need to spend some time in training as i have no idea how it works.
Fighting lobbies haven't been this much fun since Dead or Alive 4. Capcom really are a top tier developer and put so much care into their games at the moment (RE3 Remake an exception)

Mixed bag for me last night. Just used Ken and got beat by a Chun Li player 9 times in a row. I then ended up winning 5-1 against a Juri player and 3-0 against a fellow Ken.
Probably pick a different character tonight and have a play around.

I have been a Ken player since SFII, but I was having more fun last night with other characters. Definitely try them all out, for sure.

Also don't forget that in there's a sample of Extreme Battle! Which is pretty fun. The machines are on the far right hand side if you're facing away from the "entrance".

As someone who has always loved Street Fighter but has two left thumbs the modern control scheme is amazing. I'll happily take a 20% damage reduction if it means nailing my super combos every time.

You can tell the cracked beta players. They are the ones who drive rush properly rather than ‘oh yeah, drive rush’ immediately after the other player has used it.
Had a good (accidental) ft10 against a Ken earlier. The game count made it look more one sided than it was but he ran me close most times and started really keeping me honest on a few bad habits. Dunno if it’s just the way I play but most people seem to play very passively and I go at it like a bull at a gate so I eat a *lot* of drive impacts. Started changing that up and looking out for it a bit more so that’s nice.
I think when I learn a few punishes I’ll be in ok shape.

Just managed to get a quick go and it is pretty good. I don't really know anything about Street Fighter (or fighting games in general), but this seems reasonably special from my complete laymen's eyes. Much like the shot in the arm that Street Fighter 4 gave the genre.
I'm probably not going to get to play much this weekend, but my user code is 3594012194. I assume that will stay the same in the final game.
