And we’re done! Oh bloody hell, now it’s got to “copy” the update file at a glacially slow pace. I can’t believe I used to wait for games to load from tape when I was a kid… I’m so impatient now! Edit: so in case anyone is wondering, about 50 minutes to install the game from disk. My work here is done. Enjoy the game everyone! what a ride |

Impulsed brought it, downloaded it, now debating with myself to actually start it because of Elden Ring is out in less than a week, despite trying to tell myself not to buy it because Elden Ring is out in less than a week. Muppet.

Amazon plz. It's the first game I've pre ordered in 6 years, I just wanted to play it today /continues sobbing in corner Have you tried tracking it on the App? They’re usually pretty accurate, although obviously that doesn’t help if your delivery person isn’t going to get to you until 9pm or something… 17 minutes left… I just expected it earlier honestly. It has actually arrived and so begins the PS4>PS5 download(!). Don't reckon I'll actually get round to playing it today at this point though |

Absolutely stunning graphics.
You can tell Kojima has had a hand in certain elements. Such as when you look around closely at a rusty car or tech. Try zoom in close to it, very similar to Kojima’s stuff.

I wasn't going to get it as paying £70 irks me (i have a digital ps5 so no option). Then heard about the free upgrade from ps4 version so bought some cheap psn credit along with £5 credit I already had, total of £48.70 which is much more palatable.
Glad I did though. Bloody hell it's gorgeous! Played up to the 1st village after the intro and am sticking to performance mode. The resolution mode seems a bit broken to me, especially when panning the camera, it's hideous.
The Mrs is working all weekend so it's getting a hammering.

Yeah performance mode is just right. If I stop still and change it to the other mode, you can see a bit of difference especially in the distance but the 30fps panning just isn't as smooth as performance

I think he was now you mention it. Yeah. Also he's in the John Wick movies.
His voice is fine, it's the actual character I hate. Whose name I thought was spelt Silence, but of course it isn't, Aloy.
I'm not a big fan of supporting characters just constantly shitting on the protagonist, and the hero/heroine just taking it.

I need to watch the John Wick films. Don’t think he’s a bad actor at all, just the character, the voice I dislike but not sure how much is the character. Wheel read the Varl actor is pretty wooden so far  |

Lance Reddick is a fantastic actor. Also plays Zavalla in Destiny and actually plays the game too (warlock IIRC) and gets involved with the community. Seems like a top guy.

Is it really that janky in Resolution mode? I think it plays quite smooth with the motion blur. But what do I know, I'm a graphics whore.

The hit in resolution mode in terms of feel and smoothness is far, far greater for me in this case. Camera panning is jerky as hell, no idea if that will be improved with time. |

Oh if you don't want to go through the hassle of looting enemies that you kill then turn on easy loot in the accessibility menu, it's under difficulty, change to custom and you can specify what you things you want. It's quite impressive in accessibility terms.

I think I'm going to take the opportunity to see if gyro aiming is for me with this game once it's downloaded. I just don't get how it can be better, but trying to figure it out in an offline game is definitely the best shout.
