The video essentially says the game looks to be made with the resolution mode as the default. Also there is definitely a difference between the PS4 pro version and the PS5 version regardless of it being in performance or resolution mode. As in there's actually a lot of missing detail.

I could see the difference in the DF video with the two images side by side, but I'm flipping between the two modes now I'm playing it and they're indistinguishable to me. I'll stick with 60fps thanks.

I had absolutely no intention of buying this for a while but I can feel myself crumbling. Why am I always like this.

Destiny out in 4 days, Gran Turismo a couple of weeks after with a 300 quid-odd steering wheel for it on it's way to me. But I've just got to have the game I didn't even like the prequel of because people are saying nice things about the graphics online. Pathetic, fickle bastard.

Got the PS5 "upgrade" downloaded after about an hour last night and go to the area where the titles turn up before switching off about three hours later, only reason I'm not playing now is I don't want a powercut mid game!
It's bloody great.

I’m not buying it until it’s £8 in Tesco like the first one I’ll be back in the thread in about two to three years

Eeesh, the detail is kinda of insane. It's just so full. Playing on resolution mode.

Has anyone installed from a hard copy yet? If so, how long did it take to copy the data and download the latest patch?
I'm hoping to jump in this evening, and I was wondering how much time I need to set aside beforehand for installation.

Verily, it would suck if you bought the PS4 version on disc and then had to download the entire 98gb PS5 version.

Wish I had now! Could've just kicked off the download last night and job's a goodun. Probably will if it doesn't turn up by lunchtime and just return the physical copy whenever it turns up.

I'm really eager to start this but actually really enjoying smashing through the first game again, probably more than I did when playing it originally. And the DLC is all new to me, and pretty cool.

Haha, I'm so weak willed. Just grabbed £100 PSN credit for £82 from eneba and will purchase if it doesn't plop in the post in the next hour.
Post would've arrived by now and it's pretty fucking horrendous here at the moment, so wouldn't be surprised if posties are putting their safety first.

Thanks! Appreciate it.
I'll be installing the physical PS5 edition, so hopefully that'll be a little quicker; then again, perhaps not!

Got a delivery update from Amazon for this. Estimated 17:30 - 20:30.
I'm going to cry. I want to shoot a bow and arrow at robots and I want to do it now.

Ulythium patching part will be a lot quicker at least as it doesn't need to do the ridiculous copying process.

Mine took about about 90 mins to install from the PS5 disk and the day 1 patch. Couldn't be doing with downloading 98GB by buying the PS4 version for the upgrade.

Played for about an hour. Looks great, too much talk and I don't like these really long introductions all open worlds have. Just let me get off the leash to hunt some giant fucking dinosaurs.

I ended up downloading the full PS4 version then deleting and downloading the full PS5 version, 200GB cos of Sony's nonsense. Thank god their download speeds are solid now.

70ish Mb connection here and it estimated 6 hours... I'd give my left bollock for a connection that could download a game this size in 15 mins.

My connection is 10Gbit/s but maximum from the router is 2.5GBit/s but of course none of my equipment/switch can do more than 1GBit/s so It'll be PS6 before I can make better use of it.

Could have been less actually, as time usually drops quickly after several seconds, but I saw that last night and just set the PS5 to rest mode as I had no intention of being up all night. I didn't have to download the PS4 version first to redeem the PS5 version though. I just went on the app, clicked on the big OUT NOW banner and it had the PS5 Standard Edition as free. So turn on PS5, download, rest mode. 😴

Open world fatigue aside, I'd be more inclined to get this if there weren't several other massive, 80+ hour adventure games being released at basically the same time.
As it is, there's not much reason to buy something that I probably won't get around to playing for months. It'll be cheaper by then too.

Still waiting on bloody Amazon here… I wouldn’t mind but for them having it literally ready to deliver yesterday.
At least I went for the PS5 disc (Yes I paid more, but I wanted the Special Edition) so hopefully it’ll install quicker than me having to download it all. And I get an art book to look at in the meantime. Woo.
