I'm getting married tomorrow, so not too quiet for me. All feels a bit surreal tbh.

It’s forum tradition to spend the day pretending you don’t know your partner, which I trust you will adhere to

I'd go, but be very quiet and polite.
I'd then badger the band/DJ all night to play terrible songs until the bass player kicks a glass at my face.

Congrats Kay. Good work getting it done on the off season, but you are aware you will be taking your honeymoon during the best 2 weeks of the Euros?!

My partner constantly delayed us finishing by just wandering off in the wrong direction.

Thanks for all the kind words!
Fucking hell... it really was the best day ever. Loads of rushing around as we fit in three events into one day, but it all fell into the place. The weather held up well too, stayed dry and sunny for the important parts. Everyone raved about the venue and food and had a great time. I was worried that, after all the planning and stress over the last few weeks that the day itself would not live up, but no. It was magnificent.
Also my now wife gave me a Steam Deck as a wedding gift. She knew I'd wanted it for ages and I'd joked about getting it as a gift, but never seriously expected her to do it - it's not really the sort of thing you give to celebrate your love to someone, is it? But no, she has absolutely no idea or interest in video games but did her research and created a Valve account just to buy one. Apparently there's another more sentimental gift on the way too.
So yeah. Absolutely buzzing.

Ha, we're not doing the honeymoon just yet - been so busy we haven't had time to plan anything. Aiming for later in the year, so I'm mostly free to enjoy the football over the next few weeks
