I fucking hate that Lidl/Aldi middle aisle with a passion! Adds a good 30 mins to every shop.

Oh not the middle aisle with the socket sets and shit on, this is the "once it's gone it gone" aisle or something where they put all the random Greek and Italian stuff. I got a vat of olives the size of your fist on there a few weeks ago.

Oh yeah, that's quite cool. Loved some of the Spanish stuff they had over the summer. The massive jars of black eyed peas were lovely.

Yeah the Lidl random weekly theme is the best bit about a food shop.

Plus their pretzels.
Although I’m disappointed they don’t seem to do a frozen bake in the oven version.

When they have Senf in there I have to resist the urge to do the jump click your heels out of happiness thing.

I'm addicted to the Encona hot pepper sauce I first saw on the mystery aisle. Although my ratio of shits that "quickly become an emergency" has gone through the roof since I started putting it on everything.

The missus has started us on that Asda rewards thing, because of course everything needs an achievements binder these days, and our shopping has become seriously eclectic in recent months.
I don't care if it looks weird that I've bought 6 months worth of toothpaste in one go, I got £1 back and that is a victory for me in troubling times.

I do washing 1.5 times a week and have 200 capsules in my cupboard. One visit to costco gives me 2 years of washing, a year of dishwasher and about 3 months of toilet paper. Lucky I have a spare room for storage...

We go to Costco once per month and co inside it with the monthly offers. So we currently have 3 boxes of washing powder. A ridiculous amount of kitchen roll, at least a years supply of toothpaste and 6 boxes of babywipes or 4,320 individual wipes which should see us through for a good while.
Everything else comes mostly from Aldi unless I know of certain things on offer elsewhere. Everything does appear to have increased in price though.

Problem with bulk buying is having somewhere to put it all. We just don't have room for extra washing powder, loo rolls and whatever else.

Asda is the other big one for me. I work for the NHS and they do stunning offers.
Blue light card = 10% off shop Stacks with Spree prepaid credit card 2.5% cashback
Plus their reward app which also stacks.

We use a Tesco Clubcard Credit Card for most purchases, just for the points which can be converted into travel vouchers (3 times the value of the points) so getting off this rock is a bit more bearable/mangeable. Makes a big difference

Best rewards scheme for me so far is Microsoft Rewards, just use their browser and search engine for a few quick tasks. In my first month I've already got enough points for a £10 Amazon voucher.

What was the brand of dehumidifier that people were suggesting last week? 150W power, I think. Humidity is averagung over 85% thus week.

It was only after having my XSX for a year that I realised I hadn’t been doing Rewards “properly” and that there was a tonne of points I was missing out on. I now have a daily reminder to do all possible Rewards activities that don’t involve spending money to carry out.

If you got game pass make sure to log into something like Age of Empires 1 and join the 250 point groups once a day, the mobile xbox app is where you get the points.

Vortex It turns out I DID know something about this, but assumed I was in the “Unlucky 50%”. Apparently around half of UK Xbox users have been selected to get an extra Rewards function on their Xbox mobile app (NOT the Game Pass app). What is being discussed above is that playing a PC GP game seems to help trigger being included. I just logged onto the Mac to see about playing Age of Empires, but I think it might have to be on a Windows machine.
