I doubt it will ever get more expensive than petrol, because people would start up their generators before that, increasing petrol demand and thus price.

There are so many Tesla’s around here. I had a quick look and it looks like a hire purchase or lease is about £1000 a month. That’s insane. wow In laws have just purchased a vauxhall thing, mokka or grandland or something. He isn't even seeing the cost because his PIP (£300+) is completely covering it. I looked at a lease out of curiosity and it was over 600pm. Fuck that Fuck knows how used EVs are going to work because fuck second hand used batteries in a phone, let alone a car

fuck second hand used batteries in a phone, let alone a car Car batteries and phone batteries are completely different chemistries, though. They are now targeting multiple million miles as a goal of the new battery chemistries in development, and current chemistries can already do multiple 100k of miles with still more than 85% of starting capacity left.

Bullshit, I installed a car battery in my phone and it works fine. 25 days between charges.

My wife’s been saying no heating until November since the fuel price headlines really kicked off. Tonight she’s put it on as soon as we got in the house.
To be fair it was 7 degrees when we left for work this morning.

I'm fully committed to winning the game of central heating chicken this year. Down to 16 degrees in the coldest room earlier, but still nice and toasty in my office.
I'll probably bleed the radiators tomorrow in preparation mind you...

Top tip - army surplus places sell British Army cold weather over-trousers. They are called ‘softie’ and are cheap and toasty. Green one side/desert(flesh) other.
30 quid a pair.
