Just drill a drain hole in the spare wheel well.

That's on my list as a last resort. I thought it'd be fairly easy to spot to be honest but it's proving to be a bit of a twat

Had something like that on my very first car. It would pool under the rear seats and the cushions would just absorb the moisture.

Someone ran into the back of me earlier, as I was stationary waiting to pick my son up. Was very confused, had clocked them pull in and went back to browsing on my phone and then was shunted. Jumped out to find the woman wondering how on earth it happened. Can only assume she'd not put the handbrake on and took her foot off the brake and didn't realise. Minor damage really, scuffed up bumper and light but obviously still want it fixed so exchanged details etc. Fast forward to tonight and I get a text from her husband...it's a guy I went to school with! Makes things much easier. Will get a quote and see what he wants to do re insurance job or not.

I was rear ended a few years ago and *everyone* was utterly dumfounded that I didnt claim for whiplash. I had phonecalls from ambuance chasers, insurance agents, family, friends in disbelief that I said I was absolutely fine.
'Its free money!'. No its not. Its why my fucking premiums are so high.

I was genuinely taken aback by how hard *everyone* was pushing it and how routine they made it sound. And Im sure it is but, as wanky as it sounds, how can I say 'we need to be better' to fam and then effectively commit insurance fraud in the next breath?

She could only have been going 5mph so very unlikely. Neck/shoulder is slightly stiff but no worse than having slept awkwardly. And of course, now knowing who it was, I couldn't do that regardless.

My mum had a similar problem when she had her first car accident. The 2nd or 3rd time it happened she did claim as it was genuine. All of them none of her fault but it did knock her confidence for awhile. Having suffered cervicalgia (neck pain) a couple of year ago which was described as having whiplash at a walk-in centre I'd be wanting at least free physio rather than money. The pain was unbelievable and was told if it didn't improve in the next few weeks I'd have to have an injection to relieve it.

I changed my wiper blades for the first time ever(it's the first time I've had to do them so it's not like I've just been lazy or owt).
I'm a big boy now!
Still need to put my Bummer up for sale and find an old Volvo but that's one thing I will put down to pure laziness. I just cannot be arsed.

I've been very annoyed with wiper blades for a while now (not the ones I have, wiper blades in general), as when you get them there are up to 10 plastic fastener parts you will immediately throw away because only one will fit your car, so last year I got just the rubber parts by themselves and set out to change those.
I did this to my gf's Mazda the other day, too, and it turns out they tell you how to do it in the bloody car's owner's manual. I'm yet to see a dealership who'd offer me just the rubbers instead of entire seriously overpriced blades.

Still got that fucking leak. I'm running out of places to seal. There is a rubber corrugated pipe that covers the lead to the rear window heater. There's a chance it's getting in there.
I'd go and seal it now, IF IT WASN'T ALWAYS FUCKING RAINING

Have you considered just wrapping the entire car (minus some gaps for the wheels and exhaust) in mastic?

Yes. Yes, I have. I've even considered just welding everything fucking shut.

Maybe the car is sad and it's crying on the inside. Maybe fold down the rear seats and have a look with a flashlight when it's raining to see where it's coming from?

If I open the boot, look right, and take out the entire internal panel, I can see water dripping down to the bottom from within a little cavity about half way up, slightly higher than the position of the rear lights. But I can't see up that area to find out exactly where it's coming in from the outside. That's the problem

Haha I'm willing to consider anything at the minute I wonder if that would work though? Maybe if I pushed it into the cavity where the water is coming in and just fucking aimed it up and then hope for the best?

Or fill the entire car up with water and see where it leaks out from?
