Went to see my mum on the weekend who's been an auxillary nurse for 40 years looking after the elderly.

On the Today programme Mishal Husain asked Raab, the deputy PM, if he accepted that Johnson had said things in parliament about this that were not true. Raab replied “Yes”, but stressed that Johnson was giving his understanding of events, “to the best of his ability”

Ah, so they're prepping the defense on whether he 'knowingly' or 'unknowingly' mislead parliament. The former, of course, being a flagrant breach of the ministerial code that would require his immediate resignation.
Thank goodness there is an independent advisor on the ministerial code to decree on such matters. Would be a farce if, say, the PM had forced said independent advisor to resign, after having refused to sack a cabinet minister for also breaching the ministerial code, thus leaving the PM himself as the sole arbiter over such matters.
