What was the thinking behind your 4th guess? In 2 and 3 you had the 3rd character confirmed and then you guessed a word without it.

I was ruling out other letters. There was the placement of one in particular I wanted to confirm in my head so had to make a word that had it in the place I wanted to rule out despite it not containing that third letter.
If that makes sense.

This is how I need to start playing. Yeah it is good way to confirm / narrow your thinking - secure a letter in its position but take a hit on the guess itself - and suddenly its really cut out a lot of possibilities, particularly if it secures the first or last letter for subsequent guesses. |
