I was pleased to see that my dungeon run had checkpointed. I've not done this sort of thing since D1 - do checkpoints remain or are they reset each week like they were in D1?

I was pleased to see that my dungeon run had checkpointed. I've not done this sort of thing since D1 - do checkpoints remain or are they reset each week like they were in D1? Normally what you can do is be logged in and idling in the dungeon during reset and then suicide to keep the CP, but as there's a patch this week that won't be possible. FWIW if you were at the first boss it won't take you long to get back. |

Yeah you're right, the time taken so far was mostly just figuring out the puzzles.
I think it's fair to say that I'm really enjoying Destiny again. So much so that I grabbed the Witch Queen preorder and 30th anniversary pack for me and the boy.
FWIW, when we discussed accounts and game sharing a few months back the end result was that we're both able to play using one copy of the expansions.
2 xboxes (my account on both)
1 copy of the expansions
Both able to play at the same time using individual profiles.

Yeah, looks neat. I didn't really like Europa, more than other zones it feels like a bunch of empty spaces with all the content in the various cul-de-sacs leading off those spaces. Fingers crossed this one feels a bit less empty. Europa needed Braytech facilities and fallen compounds scattered throughout the icy wastes rather than just at the edges.

Yeah Europa was such a massive waste of potential compared to the buildup it received in the lore. DSC was nice but other than that it was a really dull location. It's probably the place I visit the least in the game these days.
Looks like there's a lot more variety in this new place. Hoping it has a bit more to discover outside missions like Dreaming City did.

Could go for Deep Stone Crypt maybe. Lots of fun and good loot.
New TWAB today. 2 main points of interest. First masterworked armour will now only need 10k glimmer and an upgrade module to swap elements or 20k if exotic. A nice change but still not sure why it even needs a cost.
Otherwise, passive orb generation is going to be no longer tied to masterworking weapons but instead going to be helmet mods based on damage type. Ostensibly this is to allow exotics that don't have a catalyst to generate orbs but it sounhds objectively worse to me having to swap solar, void, stasis, arc or kinetic mods on my helm just to generate orbs. And they'll be taking up slots for other mods. Don't hunk I'll bother.
Oh, and you can now gain all 25 artifact mods in a season instead of being capped at 12, but the cost of acquiring them increases each time.

I remember your woes from EG.
Vex took me 2 as well. I think it's karma from my Gjallarhorn jinx from D1. Spent pretty much the first year exhausting every weekly activity on all characters to try and get a drop, before getting 2 in the same day straight after it was nerfed.

Vex was a lowly 39 for me.
I have the clips saved of the moment I got both haha.
Meanwhile, when I started playing during Arrivals and joined a newbie run of Scourge of the Past for my first ever raid about 2 weeks after starting playing I got Anarchy on the first try and was like "oh is this thing good?".

Oh man, I remember having to farm Anarchy when they removed the rewards cap with the WORST group ever. Only took about 5-6 boss CPs for it to drop but it was like 45 mins per clear. You'd think after 3 or so successful runs questions like "WHY IS IT IMMUNE NOW? AM I STOOD IN THE RIGHT PLACE TO DO DAMAGE?" were over.

Otherwise you'll either want a Hung Jury from nightfalls or a decent Night Watch roll. |

I didn't get that season, so no DMT for me. But anyway, I already have enough exotic primaries. I want a legendary one. I don't play a lot of end game content, so my choices of weapons are more about covering all the possible bounties and having a diversified rollout to try different things.
For now I've settled for a basic Guiding Sight, but I'm on the lookout for a good Night Scout roll.
But man, I miss my old Judgment's Hand from D1. Wish they would bring back those Prison of Elders weapons someday.

I loved my Night Scout for many a month. It and Gnawing Hunger AR only left the slots when grinding weapon specific bounties or quests
I really like Sevant Leader. The full auto doesn’t wander too much and is great for popping heads at a good distance. Heating Up opera makes it a great support weapon in Gambit for me. NW was relegated to the vault a while ago.
We gonna try for a raid tomorrow? If so, I’m retry much free all day. GMT +5
