What's the item you get for reaching rank 16 with the horse? Is it for the Forerunner catalyst?
I dunno if I'll ever get that far, unless they have some triple reputation weeks, or at least give reputation from bounties too.

I reckon, given the incredible organizational skills we collectively bring to the ranks, evidence suggests we might get something together by middle of first month of the new year 😂
Been enjoying my DMT. The gun innDestiny has been fun as well

After weeks of completing the Necropolis with the hymn active, I finally got a Premonition with Feeding Frenzy and Rampage... good times.
Also, it seems that for some bug, Xur right now can be occasionally found in the EDZ and he has a Scholar for sale. I managed to find him in an instance, yoinked the scout immediately.

Yeah, you can kidnap him basically. If you stay loaded into wherever Xur was when Tuesday reset comes around, he'll be there until you leave the instance. The instance sticks around until there's no more players there. So sometimes you'll get lucky and find him. Many people co-ordinate keeping the instance going.

I wonder what would happen if someone kept him around until the next Xur reset? Would he be in two places at once, with different loot?

His loot table updates on a Tuesday - but he'd still be there, in two places I assume. At some point there'd be maintenance at reset too and people would just get booted to orbit. If you don't get a hostage Xur instance you can just grab what he has on Friday once he's around properly.
What's the roll on the scout? I'm assuming it'll be in the rotation for Trials next season as it's been out of the pool for a while. Same for the Summoner.

Managed to knock out solo grasp of avarice last night. Reckon I can flawless it but it takes so loong. Also died like 5 times stupidly to picking up the debuff without noticing.

I really enjoyed that run through that we did a few days back. Was glad I didn’t totally embarrass myself. Well, after switching to the controller. Which was in itself a bit embarrassing.
Damn
If you find yourself doing anything for a Triumph which isn’t solo and I’m online…

I find it annoying how heavyweight Destiny 2 is in comparison to other mainstream online games like Fortnite and Apex.
It's very hard to find benchmarks on Youtube (not that I trust them much, but there isn't a choice), but it seems to me that trying to run at a decent 60fps would be impossible on even the most advanced integrated graphics like the Vega 8 and Iris Xe, no matter how low your settings and resolution. The baseline engine is just too heavy for that.
It sure would be nice if Bungie had a "laptop mode", but I'm not sure it would be worth the development costs. I don't know how popular the game is among mainstream PC gamers.

Performance took a big hit in Beyond Light for some reason and hasn't really recovered. It's a lovely looking game but some areas really tank FPS. Altars of Sorrow probably the most.

It is beautiful but can indeed run like a dog.
I’d recently upgraded my PC to a 960GTX - step up from 560Ti - and bumped some settings up, primarily texture quality. Then dialed back down to try and keep it around 30.
That dungeon we did, Duff, was like a slideshow, especially the first half.
I don’t suck. My PC does

Altars of Sorrow isn't much of a problem luckily, but my RX480 crumbles in alpha-heavy areas. Must be the bandwidth. Shattered Realm can be pretty annoying, and Expunge missions easily got me down to 30-40fps during big fights. I'm now running at 1920x810 and low settings, and that still doesn't guarantee 60fps in some cases.
It's not just a recent thing though. I remember back during Season of the Forge, the Izanami one would tank my framerate whenever a bunch of exploding Vex came up.

Holy shitballs trials was painful this week. Got a Triple Tap/Vorpal Adept Reeds Regret to show for it though.
The main hogs for me are the cryptolith lure (though that's not so bad), Altars and the confluxes/oracles area in VoG for some reason. Everywhere else maintains 100fps at 1440p/max settings usually.

All for guns I don’t have yet. Naturally

I really need to do the Corrupted so I can get Malfeasance. Spend so much of my time playing Gambit worried I’ll burn out *then* have to do squads to get that gun.
Finally got DMT catalyst last night. That thing rocks. Thanks again Duff
Stepped into Crucible for only second time in a year last night. Elimination. Was doing really good for me, a positive KD ratio and everything.
Wildermyth died beckon as well, however

I think the corrupted variant is relatively straight forward as long as you're not doing it solo, I can pop in and help with that at some point. Be sure to take your DMT for a spin in crucible, it's quite a monster there at the moment. Possibly the best primary on mouse and keyboard right now. And you can run presage once a week for more rolls too.
I need to run the GM a bunch this week. Double strike rep and the easiest one in the game, with a chance of adept palindrome drops...

I'm not gonna have a lot of free time in the next two months, so my chances of getting that crucible ornaments are getting smaller... well, unless I play a bit during a triple valor week.

Crucible is the only one I've done this season, think I've done about 3-4 resets due to the trials revamp.

I’m always up for a blast of anything if I’m on

It was absolutely solid with the two of us, and he nearly gave up on the final boss but we managed it. Now we're both trying to bank motes and get Gambit wins. I'm absolutely loving D2 at the moment. I got the boy (11) an official xbox headset for xmas so we've been partying up and having a really good time with it. I've never really looked at the armour 2.0 stuff nor masterworked anything other than the riskrunner sub. Having looked at a few vids this week, I'm now on the look out for certain armour types. Recommendation was anything with high intellect and high recovery; would you lot agree with that? Both of us are at 1336 at the moment and it's been super slow levelling since 1335.

Recommendation was anything with high intellect and high recovery; would you lot agree with that? Both of us are at 1336 at the moment and it's been super slow levelling since 1335. The changes to intellect have rendered int significantly less important. You need only aim for around 40-60 now, pve or pvp because passive super regeneration has be smashed to bits. For PvP I've been running Mob 50 Res 60 Rec 100 Dsc 60 Int 60 Str 60 For PvE I tend to just pick 100 Rec, 40-60 Res and then max out Dsc now. I *highly* recommend this website for sorting out armour builds: d2armorpicker.com/#/login/. You can pick an exotic, set minimum amounts for each stat you're looking for, and it'll build an armor set for you and tell you what mods to equip to reach those stats. If you ever wonder what armour to keep, my personal rule is that I'll keep anything that rolls over 60 and has at least 2 stats at +15. If it doesn't fill either of those it's straight in the bin. Also re: levelling up - the number of artifact levels needed to gain a power level increases massively so check your base power level. If it's under 1320 focus on doing stuff marked as powerful rewards, otherwise look for stuff marked pinnacle rewards. Don't forget that it also counts stuff in the vault and on other characters, so if you have second characters you can repeat pinnacles/powerfuls on other chars and even if you don't move them over, it'll act as if you have weapons at xxxx power level and start dropping stuff higher than what that character has equipped, meaning you can often leapfrog power levels up. Although, if you don't plan to play trials or do GMs/Master Raids there's no huge benefit to bothering.

I'm still rocking my old build:
Mob 66 Res 40 Rec 70 Dsc 100 Int 43 Str 80
Mostly because the stats are so close to their limits that I can't really change an armor piece for a better one without dropping to the previous tier on some stat.
The question is also how long those secondary Arc mods will stick around. Powerful Friends and Radiant Light help my stats quite a bit.

You can see I've given no thought to this, in comparison to your builds, until now. I've always just dumped the lower power level stuff and kept the higher. Never tried to tune into a certain meta stat before.
Mobility 37 Resilience 33 Recovery 50 Discipline 47 Intellect 32 Strength 45

I was never getting into any meta either. I just enjoy throwing grenades and launching into power melees, so I've always tried to keep the pieces and mods with the highest discipline and strength.
Think I've had this build for at least a year, if not more.
