I abandoned It Takes Two earlier this year. Pretty basic platforming that plays out quite slowly, with bosses that, at best, wouldn't quite make the cut in a Mario game. I'd say I was surprised it won GOTY, but I'm pretty out of touch with modern gaming tastes.
I've only played two other games on that list (Metroid Dread and Resident Evil Village), but I'd rate both much more highly.

Hyped for Alan Wake 2, It'll be gorgeous and interesting to see what Remedy's take on that genre is. Forsaken seems to have iffy voice acting but looks a lot of fun, Wonder Woman "trailer" utterly pointless, why even bother ffs?

Alan Wake and Hellblade 2 are the ones for me from what I’ve managed to catch up on. Don’t care about the awards themselves as they’re just the most corporate side of the industry wanking itself off.

Never thought I'd see a high production Space Marine game. W00t.

Nice to have a date on Forsaken, that looks pretty good but the big news for me is Space Marine 2, hell yeah!

It would’ve been good to see actual gameplay of any of these games, you’d almost think it was banned given the volume of near identical cinematic trailers

I'm guessing if Microsoft thought Hellblade was coming out next year they'd have stuck "2022" on the the of that trailer.

That opening monologue about game industry inclusion just came across a bit flat/disingenuous, I don't doubt the sincerity behind the sentiment but it just didn't work for me (but maybe that's because of my distain for Geoff).
I generally enjoy the spectacle as a whole as it's great to see footage of new stuff, but it could be streamlined a lot too.
Surprised myself that I was so pumped to see Space Marine II, that Slitterhead trailer was unique and I'm very intrigued, and that sly mention by GDT about wanting another Silent Hill had my holding out hope for an announcement that never came (but there's hope right...maybe Silent Hills is back on the table...?!?!)

I feel asleep near the end so missed a couple of reveals, the new co-op shooter Arc Raiders looks like it could be pretty fucking good.

Looks marvellous. Only potential issue is that it's free-to-play so depends how they implement that and ensure there is no pay to win elements. I'm intrigued, and hold out hope it'll be as good to play as it looks.

It seemed like a way of saying something while simultaneously saying nothing whatsoever. Just idle platitudes from a guy who'd give Bobby Kotick a handjob right there on stage, if only it'd get him some extra column inches from IGN and/or an exclusive interview with ActiBlizz. (Or maybe that's just own distaste for Keighley coming through loud and clear - I dunno.)
