Well done and hopefully good news for the family's return soon!
Just fired up Wreckfest since the latest update and it'd be nice if GT7 took a look at how multiplayer lobbies work in that now after they've had the tournament features added that the PC has had for a while. You can set up a server tournament where everyone gets points on where they place and it tracks, you can have qualifying laps or sprint races or have the grid determined by performance ratings of the cars, obviously not forgetting the biggest difference between "The Real Driving Simulator" and the banger racing game in that you can switch tracks and car without having to close the lobby. Seriously it would make even Dave happy, although it is a slight niggle that you have to make sure that the points stuff is set as every time you change the track in the menu it goes back to normal. So if anyone wants something a little bit more raucous maybe we should get a Wreckfest evening on at some point like I suggested a couple of weeks ago?
I'm happy to do GT7 on other/more nights like Dave suggested too.

We racing tonight? 9ish? Moving to a different night? If we move from Tuesday night are more peeps actually going to turn up? Unless we have a commitment, I would just leave as is, otherwise it'll become fractured and people will start drifting off...

I'd be happy if they had just copied over the UX of the GTSport menu when they copied the UI Not played Wreckfest, must have come out in that window when I was thinking I would save off getting games until I got a pro, which I then delayed till getting a PS5, so never got round too. But it looks like something I would enjoy so not adverse to getting it if we were going to set-up a side tourny. I can almost certainly race tonight at the usual time

Wreckfest on PS5 certainly was on PS+ which was nice, not so nice that the save data was transferable but it didn't do the trophies so I should have double platinum but now can't as I've already passed SP events that trigger a load of them.

Yeah that was disappointing when I found that out. I should probably just download it, copy my game save and just play it online. I'm hoping to be racing tonight although might be a little later than usual.

Fun racing last night chaps, very enjoyable. I actually won a gold bar from my roulette afterwards which was amazing.

Yeah GGs. I will come up with a F1500 mini championship this week and post it here. Was thinking of doing each race at @20 mile length and have refueling and tire wear? Plus random weather so may want to pick up some Wets and Inters.

I think fuel and tire is a good shout, though I have never understood the multiplier really so never set them quit right.

Yeah good point. I will do a couple of tests.

Just did a quick test. 20 miles will be too short so will more likely by 40-50 miles @ 15 laps.
15 x fuel and 15 x tire wear seemed to work ok. Will enable some good tactical decisions. May want to buy RS, RM, RH, RI and RWs for the 1500 to give you more options. Not obligatory though.
I'll also be turning on all the penalties so no diving down the inside and using people as a brake!
This is just for the "F1500 Main Event Race" BTW. I was thinking of doing it at 10pm so suitable for late joiners and early to bedders.

God, I’m in love with the Radical, trying to gold all the championships with it. Lacking a tiny bit of grunt against the fastest cars there but it’s pointy as heck and goes where you place it.

Hmm, what to decide with my first ever engine win on the roulette (I had already pimped the Sambabus a fair amount for a laugh after watching Super GT being outpaced by one on the Alsace endurance race, it was very funny). The Beetle getting pimped is probably more useful but for the lolz there's the Sambabus.

In case anyone doesn't have it, the car that works very well in Tuesday evening MP sessions at stock is the Impreza Coupe WRX Type R STi Ver.VI '99, it's back in the used car dealership for 57,100 credits. Absolute bargain.

Ace, will buy just in case. Do you tune them to have a certain length PP?!

We've been driving them as they're got from the used car dealership, only change being livery.
Everyone loves my paint scheme.

If I set it up right that's about 2-3 laps of spa on full fuel saving with hard racing tyres lasting 4-6 laps roughly. Not sure how long softs last.

Ok. We can do 15 x tires and 10 x fuel?

Post by mcgeeza on May 16, 2022 0:13:09 GMT
Ok
F1500 Championship
Monza - 14 laps Suzuka - 14 laps Brands Hatch - 20 laps Bathurst - 13 laps Catalunya - 17 laps Laguna Seca - 22 laps Nurburgring - 16 laps Red Bull Ring - 19 laps Daytona Road Course - 14 laps Spa - 11 laps
Points 10 8 6 5 4 3 2 1
15 x Tire wear 10 x Fuel consumption
Penalties On Damage Light
Tuning Off
Upgrades Not Allowed
Tires Any
Idea is to do one race each week at around 10pm during the Tuesday night race night. If for whatever reason we get a poor turnout / people aren’t around we can postpone until the following week no worries.

Sounds good. Only way we're really going to know is to give it a whirl and see what's up. 10x fuel does sound better though, AI was pitting every lap at 15x.

But yeah let's see how it goes. We can tweak as we go along. I suspect it will work better on some tracks depending on length and worse on others but we have to start somewhere.

I'll make the effort to get into some of these. I'm not talking to any of you freaks though.

Just don't mention the MP lobby system being lacking to Dave or the UTTER STUPIDITY of the term "self-charging hybrid" to me and we're pretty regular people.
Well as regular as anyone who plays too many video games.

Well as regular as anyone who plays too many video games. It charges the battery when you apply the brakes. Like F1 cars do (or used to). I don't see the problem.

Take the petrol out and see how well it self charges.
