The broken Willys replay is a bit disappointing as the game's camera obviously isn't set to look at where we went but I've got something to make a clip from it anyway, whoops.
Good racing tonight, even if I really need some practice with some of the cars we used, fun time anyway.

Finally got the gold in S10 licence test That's the dry line round spa one isn't it? Many hours lost attempting to gold that event. I've just won the 700 world touring car championship. Used the Honda Civic that has a light tune and was awarded the F430 thankfully. For the daily roulette ticket I was given 2 stars which contained 3 cars, 1 gold bar and what looked like a pile of gold bars. It gave me the 1 gold bar obviously but that's the best ticket I've had in terms of possible prizes. |

Glad it's over now Best roulettes for me were Bugatti VGT car and 500,000. Saw a YouTube where someone opened 21 roulette tickets in a row. The prizes were poor, only about 2 'good' prizes out of the lot. He also quit out after opening them (so they didn't save) and still got the same crap results! |

The way the tickets work they may as well be lottery scratch cards, the prize does appear to be set at the time of it being generated, anyone hoarding them hoping for an update to be a bit more generous is probably wasting their time.
Having said that since Tuesday I've not done too badly, I've won 10K (boo!) but also a Jaguar F-type and an Amuse Nismo 380RS Super Leggera. Kaz's smile occasionally beams onto your tickets.

Got gold on every circuit event now. Some really really enjoyable races in some of the chilli pepper events. I'll have to start properly having a go at Sport mode now. Hopefully they add some meaty endurance races to the map at some point though.

Its best just not getting excited about them. Between the menu books and daily rewards I must have had 60-70 of them by now and I can count on one hand the amount of times I haven't had the worst prize.

In my experience yes I got a trophy for collecting 50 cars before the prize was ever revealed. What's more, I quit the game after getting the reward and turned the game on again the next day and found it hadn't saved my opening the pack. But on doing it again, I got the same reward. |

I’m hardly touching this which is surprising me, biggest bugbear by far is the stupidity of the single player proposition.
There’s no doubt at all it’s a fab hot-lapping-of-your-fave-track game, though ACC handling still feels more sophisticated on a pad to me, but the absolute bollocks that is starting at the back of the grid is ridiculous. It’s not a racing game, it’s a tune your car up enough to pass moving chicanes before the time runs out game. Is that really good enough for PlayStations premiere racer?
It’s fucking not.
Just had to do a couple of American car menu books and I hate driving those angry bricks so much.
Managed to tune a Focus up enough to be competitive for the first three but used a Chevrolet for the next three, had to spend nearly a100k on the sodding thing to get the menu book done and I’ll never use it again because it’s a big skip on wheels with handling like a epileptic.
Grrrrr!

The Focus counting as American, given its real origins, was the only way I got through the American menu, everything else felt awful.
My Focus is now ridiculously fast, so that's nice.
Tried the game on my Pro today to see how much difference a DS4 felt versus a DualSense, it's a game changer ignoring everything else that's better on PS5. Obviously a good wheel is the best way to play but DualSense is so much better than the PS4's controller for it.

Yeah it's a shame. Hasn't ruined it for me, but it's pretty shit. The worst ones are when you have to sit on the grid for a minute while the rest of the grid pull away slowly one by one... WTF were they thinking?

Surprisingly, I enjoyed GT Sport much more than this, not just for the simplicity of its career mode but also just the feel of driving with a controller. I think their drive to compete with the Assetto Corsas and iRacings has taken all the fun out of the driving. |

I mostly like the driving itself, it feels pretty great on the dualsense. Apart from RWD cars which feel absurdly tail-happy. Let me tickle the throttle on this gentle curve FFS!

600pp Tomahawk is a bit silly then.
I feel like the penalties in Sport mode are out to get me. If I hit the back of someone I get a penalty and they don’t. If someone hits the back of me I get a penalty and they don’t. A couple of times I’ve had heavy penalties for “forcing a car off the track” when someone’s tried to ram me and missed.
