The music noise in the opening race thing was too loud, I couldn't hear the engine sound to know when to change gears (manual4life). Only got a silver.

Yeah it feels good enough to make me actually want to play it when I can't be arsed to set the wheel up. Still can't wait to try it with the T300 though, sounds like the FFB is very good. |

I've heard good things about the gyro steering with the pad. It's a big 'fuck that' from me on paper but might be worth a try for those lazy sessions where you cba lugging the wheel out.

I don't know where I read this, but if you've bought the disc version, disconnect from the internet before installing, and it'll pull everything off the disk. Otherwise, it'll try to download 90gig of data.

Amazon lost my copy of the 25th Anniversary Edition which is a bit of a downer. That version seems to be out of stock (for a physical copy) so I guess it's digital all the way now.

I've played thousands of hours of pretty much every big racing game going over the last 20+ years and I could count on one hand after a disastrous game of five-finger-fillet the amount of times I've even noticed the crowd in them, much less stopped to look at how many pixels they have. Fuck me.
