I've been on a week's leave already, but have been doing lots of consultation stuff until now. I'm just about finished fully now. I'll probably have to have a 1/2 hour meeting on Monday though.

Think I'm stopping on the 23rd but the way things are going I don't know. Suddenly we're busy as shit over the last few weeks and it shows no sign of slowing down. Not complaining tbh. I'd much rather this and the less time off I have to get bored / depressed the better.

Nah, 21st it was supposed to be Christmas Eve like normal but work gave us a couple of extra days and brought forward closing to the 21st. I'm not back until the 10th though which is nice.
Just found Christmas cards i thought i'd sent ages ago so i'm now rushing to sort that and have my booster on weds so i'm looking forward to feeling like crap on Christmas Eve. Yay.
Some people are meeting up at the pub after work as the christmas lunch was postponed to next year but humbug, i'm not going to bother going all the way into town to catch lurgy. Humbug.

Finished today and my wife and daughter aren't back until tomorrow. So I'm going to get stupidly drunk have a snooze and then get drunk while playing games later.
Christmas is the best.

Finish work on Sunday, site is closed over Christmas but if it wasn't I'd be working so to ensure I still get paid I've booked three days annual leave. Back between Xmas and New year and then off again. My wife works in retail so her two days off are Christmas Day and Boxing day but next year she will be on maternity leave all being well.
Not a massive fan of Christmas so bah humbug but I do enjoy the food/beer and gaming when I can be bothered.
Things I dislike? Need a list.
Shit gifts just don't bother

Films other than Bad Santa
Tinsel this stuff should be set on fire or banned from ever being sold in future.

Still working next week, but likely not actually going to be doing much (particularly if the last week is any judge of that). Probably clock off early on Christmas Eve. In the old office days we would be told to head off around 14:30, but last year no message went out and I decided to stop about 15:00. I expect I'll do the same again.
Then it is two weeks of doing bugger all... before deep regret of not spending that time doing something productive and then going back to the work grind for another year.

I'm sat watching our kid's Christmas concert on YouTube (due to COVID).
Call me Mr Scrooge, but it sucks. They've not even got the camera right. Everyone is blurry. And they're just not very good.
My wife's insisting though.
