Just a question... But if the owners are able to prove that this forum is financially sustainable, wouldn't they then be able to make a case for how valuable the forum and its community is, and then look towards selling the forum back to Eurogamer for $4.5 million (like how Resetera did it)?

Given the number of offers they keep doing for the subscription thing, that may be a good idea for them. I was fully in favour of the subscription, but by getting rid of the forum they reduced the pool of potential subscribers. I don’t visit EG anywhere near as much anymore. If the forum was still there I would have already got a subscription, but I don’t feel the need to now my visits have dropped. |
