Isn't the most in 1 tournament 16 by Hendry?

One frame away from being up there with some of the best Crucible comebacks ever.

I don't think anyone has managed to win after such a huge deficit.

I'm sure Williams would as going to retire as he was playing poorly and then he got to the World Championship final and decided to carry on.

Oh that's frustrating to watch Williams miss that blue.

I reckon O'Sullivan would have struggled more against Williams than he will Trump. Trump's long potting isn't quite there at the moment and I think that will hold him back.

Funny enough I think the opposite. Trump has been very lucky this tournament. I'm going 18-12 to him. I'm no no great lover of ROS but would much rather be wins.

Luck can't sustain you through 35 frames, but fair enough. I'm fairly sure O'sullivan will win.

ROS to cruise to the title then say afterwards how he played terribly, been bored for two weeks, hates the venue, the sport, all his fans and himself. Etc etc yawn.

Holy shit that double. Did he aim for that? Dennis Taylor called it as he was lining it up - he knew it was on. I love Taylor commentary as he can see the shots and where someone will go / what they could do even before they do.

Yeah. He should just quit. He's said he just treats it like a job but, come on mate, who gets to say they hate their six figure salary job?

Who's regarded as the GOAT, Hendry, Davis?

I'd say Hendry over Davies, easily.

It's Hendry then Ronnie, I'd say.

It's Hendry then Ronnie, I'd say. I'm. bit out of touch after so long out the UK and not following so closely. Why do people dislike Higgins?

Higgins got caught match fixing, then only got a fine, I think.
He wouldn't have been the only big name player up to it, but he got caught, so gets the stick.

“Everyone else is / was at it” (with no proof) is an odd statement to make. Others such as Quentin Haan (a playboy journeyman) was banned for 8 years, and then we had the big lad a few years back and they threw the book at him too never to be seen again. Higgins was at it and he got caught (while World no1 and world champion and the primary draw on the tour at the time) and got a wrist slap. so yeah. Anyway we are not allowed to talk about it on the snooker based thread apparently.

It's Hendry then Ronnie, I'd say. Yeah me too. Then Davis third. But Davis was unstoppable in the 80s and changed the sport.

I have no evidence, but do you really think Higgins and the other 2 you mention are the only ones at it over the years??
It's the same with tennis, who get paid much more, yet there's constant rumours (again no proof from me) of points/match fixing.
Every sport will have this going on.
Higgins was found not guilty, if he had, then I'd have no problem with him being banned for good.
