Selby's been about as poor as I've ever seen him in the latter stages of a tournament. Any time he comes across another player who doesn't match his tempo when he tries to slow matches down he struggles, unless he's playing at 95% pot success rate. I think he's having to rely on grinding more and more as he's getting older, and players are finally getting wise to it. |

He's grinding out chances as he usually does in frames and then fucking them. He almost blew it in the semi final against Allen doing the same thing. The Selby that won world titles would be winning this quite handily.

Fully expected this to be over not much after 8 going into that final session. Good that Selby managed to make a match of it and I would lying if I wasn't willing it to go down to the wire, but the right man certainly won in the end.
