imamazed - mayo and some grated cheddar are my go-to for fish finger sarnies. Ketchup is best poured all over a nice well done steak.

Ketchup is absolutely vile and doesn't belong on any food, ever. Do you like tomatoes? My scientific observation is that the more you like actual tomatoes, the less you like ketchup. My old man could happily eat a beef tomato like an apple but wont go near anything with ketchup on it. |

I like tomatoes sometimes. I wouldn't eat just a tomato by itself usually, but in a well dressed salad, or processed into an actual tomato sauce or soup, then yes. But I find I only really enjoy tomatoes if there's something else to accompany them.
It's more that I find ketchup so sweet it just obliterates the taste of anything it's used on.

I'd be a bit miffed if I ordered a pasta dish at a restaurant that said it was served in a tomato sauce and it turned out to be ketchup.
