Im currently sat in my office where two days ago the cat dropped a live, wild mouse which ran off and we suspect is still in here but absolutely cannot find. So I would suggest that *all* cats are wankers. This is 100% correct

I’ve never bought an animal from a breeder/seller, only ever rescued from shelters (or in the case of one cat, a literal stray who turned up at the door one day). I definitely look down on anyone who buys a specific breed like that, especially the genetically problematic ones.
All four of my cats are indoor so now I know why nick hates me.

Our cats are indoor, too. We have tried letting them out but they don't seem to like it much. They're happy enough. People are entitled to their opinion, of course.
My unpopular opinion is that the unpopular opinions of other people phase me not one iota.

That's the point I thought you were making when I agreed. Cannot stand them in any circumstance. If it helps, your own child is great, other peoples kids continue to be absolute shitheads. True up until discussing your own children within the family in which case we revert back to shitcunts

Just my opinion but I think this thread now needs to be called the 'Angry old man shouts at cloud' thread. If its any consolation, my pet opinion is almost lifelong held. Ive never been able to see the point and, later, the moral justification for keeping animals other than utter selfishness.

Indoor cats are fine as long as they’re active and have plenty to do. It’s cruel if it’s just “here’s a cat, a litter box and a food dish, look after yourself”. Ours are all happy, healthy and well looked after. They’re also all super affectionate and never bite or scratch (except playfully)
Honestly I would probably let them outside if it weren’t for the busy roads, the natural predators (we live in an area with coyotes and various raptors), the feline disease epidemics among stray populations and cuntish people who’d shoot or poison them. I’m of the opinion that it’s kind of cruel to have an outdoor cat in those circumstances, especially as they also seem to fall into the “here’s a litter box, a food tray and a cat flap, look after yourself” kind of deal too.

My parents cat brought us another pet once. A rabbit. We kept it for years as it was too little to release back out into the wild. We got him a wee guinea pig friend and they lived many happy years together until the guinea pig died. We replaced him with one that was a different colour and they lived many happy years together.
Until a polecat chewed through the run mesh and tore them both to tiny pieces.
My dad tried to shoot it with an air rifle but it got away.

Said stray cat I had when younger disappeared when I was about 15/16. Assumed it had run away. Parents didn't tell me that it had been found in a neighbour's porch) a few weeks after going missing with its head bitten off by a fox.

That's not a sexual orientation slur. He is actually bent. He's so old he's like a boomerang. Will he die? Will he fuck. I want more fish but Gary the Everliving just won't have it.

I had a fish that just refused to pass on as well. Which is weird as he was always the sickliest looking one of the batch. He lived about two years past his supposed life span, along with a frog called Henry.

We had a bent one! We assumed he had got caught by a rock fall in the tank. Lived for ever. From a jumble sale prize, to longest living family pet. Think it lived to about 10. With very little care or attention, just a nip of whisky when he looked wobbly.

Im not suggesting people give them away, just stop buying animals to cage, then there would be no profit and they would stop being farmed. Let the industry atrophy. Birds are the worst. I dont know how you could take a bird, shove it in a cage and think 'yeah, thats cool'. I used to have budgies and I now completely share your opinion. I had several of them in a big cage (which by all accounts is the "kind" way to do it) but despite me spending fucking ages at it they never bonded with me, due to having each other, and worse, never wanted to leave the cage. I spent so long trying to get them comfortable being outside the cage, and sometimes to be honest I gently forced them out, but even then they went back as soon as they could. One day I looked at them, "trapped" in a cage and it dawned on me how cruel it was. Even if they had been more keen on being outside, they would still be spending 99.9% of their time in a cage. They were birds! And it was suddenly a perverse and horrible sight that made me feel intensely guilty. I'll never keep caged birds again. They all lived long and healthy lives if anyone is concerned, although it was touch and go at times when the fuckers wouldn't shut the fuck up.

We had a bird when I was a kid and I don’t fully understand keeping them either, unless it’s a pretty sizable cage they all seem pretty miserable. Though we only ended up with it through a crazy misunderstanding that my mum liked birds when she actually couldn’t stand them. That was an interesting Christmas.

Amongst the funniest things I ever saw was an drunken arsehole who'd been a complete wanker for the entire flight removed from a plane when we touched down in Barcelona by the Mossos d'Esquadra and decide it would be a good idea to try and fight them because they wouldn't let him have his bag. He left unconscious.

Prisoner of Azkaban Weakest book in the series and second worst film in the series. This is very wrong, at least on the film. PoA is the film that set up the modern blockbuster, transforming the safe, straightforward, schmaltzy kids films to proper cinema. The use of longer shots (which the Director Alfonso Cuaron is known for, eg Children of Men), trusting in the actors, the increased creativity and bringing the series up to date, the darker more complex but nuanced setting.
