Jack Whitehall just seems like a shit Simon Amstel. Granted Simon Amstel might be shit now too, but liked him on Buzzcocks. I think it's overlooked just how good Simon Amstell was on Buzzcocks. Such difficult boots to fill, and a tough gig in general. Some of his exchanges with Noel Fielding were priceless. I thought his more recent stand up was funny and entertaining, although he does lean into his "shy & retiring homosexual lifestyle" for pretty much all his material. |

Amstell did quite well tbf.
As for Riley - she's defo Labour. A friend knows her and they've spoken about it. She's more centrist but not a Tory. The rabid left just threw a hissy fit because she, rightly, called out the anti semitism. I know she does a fair bit of low-key work with that as well.

There's no way they'd allow the Preston episode to happen again these days. People would call it bullying. Every panel show now feels like the jokes have all been rehearsed ahead of time and signed off by everyone's PR.

My dislike for Ricky Gervais is becoming a bit consuming. I particularly hate the way he uses loving animals to offset the various other ways he is a total cunt.
