Always made me laugh how he described himself as a “Produce Expert” aka greengrocer. It was even better than that - in the first few years of Masterch(i)ef he was specifically described as a "fruit and vegetable expert". |

He sounds like Jay from the Inbetweeners but a grown adult man and if he was on the upper side of the power dynamic.
I’m surprised he wasn’t called out sooner. Torode and quite a few celebrity contestants don’t seem like they’d be afraid of him or worried for their careers the way the crew might.
He does sound like an absolute cockend though. I certainly wouldn’t want to work alongside him.

It's more annoying because of that power dynamic where people obviously couldn't tell him to fuck off. and yet, i struggle to believe that over the many years popbitch et al have been reporting on this that nobody of roughly equal power - a co-presenter maybe, or a senior producer, thought to say "jeez greg, tone it down a bit eh?"
i'd like to think these co-presenters and senior producers might have some apologies to make for doing precisely fuck all to protect junior staff

From all the comments the two of them have made in the last, Torode might not be that much better. You don’t work that closely for 20 years with someone you hate without doing something about it unless you an are ok with it.
But then the other hosts like Waring must also put up with it, unless he doesn’t do it around him.
