So one thing I've learned over the years from my friends and colleagues is that if you fuck up and say something stupid, you should apologise and move on.

I apologise unreservedly. It was unacceptable and, as I said, I'll think more closely about my choice of words in future. I appreciate no one came to this thread expecting to see that and that's on me. Hope we can leave it at that.
