Yeah, that stuff about Alice really stood out, especially as his entire entourage knew she was 16. It's all manners of fucked up.

My guess is they wanted to fire him for his bad behaviour, he threatened to sue and they compromised on parting quietly with NDAs all round His management stood by him all through his heroin addiction, alcoholism and "sex addiction", they were more than happy to keep him on as a client as long as the good times kept rolling.

That was a really hard read, jesus. That article does raise a really good point regarding the age of consent being 16 allowed him to groom a child, and there should be a change to address that.

It’s wild watching this shit back. ‘Here’s a clip of him being a sex pervert on live TV/Radio and nobody doing a thing about it’. Hahah, isn’t he a card?
It’s unreal.

It's incredibly similar to how Savile talked.

It's incredibly similar to how Savile talked. The solution the woman was just talking about, to ensure there were no women on the production team for the project he was working on, is the *exact* same solution ITV News deployed for Jimmy Savile while the other half was working there. It’s genuinely unbelievable.

His sister in law Kirsty Gallagher posted some supportive Instagram posts following his preemptive rebuttal yesterday, now she’s deleted those 😬

The rebuttal video is so weirdly edited. Why would you leave jump cuts in there? It looks insane.

No a fan of Brand but weren’t many slagging off Kevin Spacey not long ago until he proved his innocence . It wouldn’t surprise me if the allegations were true but it’s a bit trial by media at the moment

Bit of a difference between getting acquitted on one allegation and proving your innocence. It’s not like everyone has welcomed Spacey back with open arms and asked for forgiveness for the way he’s been treated.

Well yeah with accusations like this even if you were completely innocent your reputation and career would be tarnished for good in most cases and unlikely be welcome back in the public eye. Like I say I really wouldn’t be surprised but let the person legally defend themselves before all the tv shows about it .

Years ago? Career ender, probably. Now? Nothing. His loyal band of idiots will prop him up for as long as he can be arsed to fleece them.

Also wasn’t it multiple allegations he was declared innocent?

The issue is, it's incredibly difficult to prove you've been raped, even if you go to the police about it at the time and provide DNA evidence. Let alone ten or twelve years after the fact. But, a bit like the Cosby thing, if enough credible people come forward, with similar stories and accounts and witnesses, on the balance of probabilities, they're probably guilty.

Clearly the industry knew what was going on and saw it as a chance to get him out while they could.

With the courts as fucked as they are, sometimes you need a bit of ‘trial by media’. It’s kind of the point of them and we need a bit more of it.
And it’s worth noting that this isn’t just reporting on a few salacious tweets, it was 90 minutes of rigorous journalism that C4s lawyers were happy Brands legal team wouldn’t screw them for.
