Was pretty nuts suddenly for 15 mins here at 5ish. Dark skies, lashing horizontal rain, trees looking like they'll get uprooted if it goes on much longer... Then nice and clear with a bit of sun.
Mental weather

On the bright side, despite it being wet and windy at least the temperatures are still not cold enough to warrant having the heating on and probably saving me a hundred quid or so in Gas this month.
Currently paying British Gas on estimated usage based on our figures from last winter meaning throughout October I've been paying £17 a day when smart meter is only getting to about £6 a day. Will hopefully end up in plenty of credit by March or at least offset the 'real winter'

Yeah, we've had it on once for a couple of hours one evening at the beginning of the month. Been waking around in t-shirts the past few days.

It was raining so hard earlier I could hear it over some headphones. Love it
I wouldn't say it's really cold yet. Still don't need a coat and feel a bit uncomfortable under a summer duvet at night - have to poke a limb out to keep cool

Maybe stop taking so many disembodied limbs to bed with you at night

People keep telling me it's going to cost an arm and a leg to stay warm this winter so I've been stocking up

I wish I was 27. I’m very late forties - forty eleven to be exact.

I know the whole of Europe is having a bit of a warm spell at the moment, but it's 19 degrees today, in the Midlands at the end of October. Bit mental.

Had the gutters and (completely blocked) downpipes cleaned out yesterday.
Should help with what has felt like localised flooding!

Yeah I've been in LDN today and set off in coat and jumper cause it's November in 3 days. 22 fucking degrees is absolutely ridiculous.

Thursday I was on the beach in a t-shirt in Bournemouth. It is ludicrous how warm it is.

Oh good. More torrential rain. Might as well wear a wetsuit to the bus stop.

We had a storm in the middle of the night. Loads of garden furniture blown over to remind me that I should've really put it in the shed by now...

My Dad just sent me a photo, where he lives is about 2-3 ft underwater at the moment and it may get worse. Thankfully he lives on a boat.

18 degrees in mid November.
Saves on the heating but it's really weird.

It's been relentless here. Yesterday there were about 4 separate car crashes and dozens of reports of roads becoming impassable came in during the evening and this morning. Trying to work out if there's any way to get to work but it doesn't look like it.

I can’t recall it ever being this consistently wet. we middle aged Lycra clad cycle cunts keep a close eye on the rain forecasts, it’s been relentless the last few weeks
