So I started playing for the first time about 8-9 years ago, kept it up for a few years. I started with a basic Epiphone Les Paul, upgraded to a budget-y Ibanez S521 MOL after a year. But then gradually fell completely off due to having absolutely no discipline, trying to finish a doctorate getting in the way, etc etc. Just didn't have the motivation. Picked it up again earlier this year and am starting lessons again, and am actually feeling even more motivated to learn now which is nice. To celebrate I've ordered a new guitar. Probably a better guitar than I need - it's an ESP EC-1000 with the Seymour Duncan pickups. I'm looking forward to annoying the piss out of my wife and dog by playing loudly and badly as soon as it's here. John Thompson style ‘nice’ |
