I've never seen Apollo 13, but don't really see the point in watching it without having seen the other twelve first...
Chef's 😘 lol
Have to add Top Gun to my list it turns out. The Exorcist also springs to mind. As for Blade runner 2049... Quite a recent release and therefore forgivable and while culturally mainstream still pretty niche. Still, shocking and appaling. Be ashamed.
Top Gun is horrendous, just endless cringe. However, Godfather 1 and II are utterly incredible films.
I don't know. Pitch Perfect is good fun and worth a watch. And I'm not sure why you would pick Superman 4 as the one to watch. 1 and 2 are classics and still great.
I didn’t have a choice in the matter. I was taken to the cinema when I must have been about five years old. It must have left a lasting impression as I never felt like watching another Superman film since.
Come to think of it there’s a metric fuck-tonne of Bond movies I’ve never seen and probably never will too.
I loved Breaking Bad but that first series was pretty hard to get through, just really grim. I know a lot of people gave up because of it.
Put me down as one of those who gave up in s1. I just thought it was bloody awful, and I hated every single character in it.
Hmm I don 't remember it being that bad? In fact it felt more like a very dark comedy in the first couple of seasons, as opposed to the gritty drama it becomes by the end. Then again, I did watch it after it had finished and everyone was going on about how good it was (and it did live up to the hype imo).
Me and the wife watched it after everyone telling us how great it was and neither of us liked it. Which was quite a surprise tbh. After three or four episodes we binned it. It was just incredibly depressing.
Yeah I'm assuming it picks up but starting with getting rid of a guy (who was a piece of shit) in a bath of acid while his mate sees his remains leak and then crash through the ceiling is a tough way to start a show. That put me off.
Well I’m just glad everyone here has seen The Wire. On the other hand, I used to enjoy telling my colleagues in the DVD and Video section of HMV that I’d never seen the Godfather when it was a massive seller when it came out as a box set one Christmas.
There's TONS of TV I've not seen, because I don't have Sky, and because nowadays who has the time?
As far as film goes, there's likewise loads, but I feel like the big gaps in my knowledge are older films. I've not seen a lot of Hitchcock, Chaplin, classical musicals, etc. People assume because I'm a pretty big film fan I should have seen everything.
My dad is constantly disappointed in me for not having seen several of the big Eastwood westerns, though. He even bought me Josey Wales a few years ago on DVD and I've just not got round to it. It's three hours, I can't put it on in front of the kids, and and my wife won't wanna watch it, so when am I gonna find the time?!
EMarkM: Will there ever be a boy born who can swim faster than a shark?

vicedestroyer: I guess, once the world does its best Waterworld impression, it will be survival of the fittest. Either the boy swims fast or becomes shark tucker.

zagibu: Sharks not only swim fast, they also swim silent. Their scales are called dermal denticles, and they create local swirls around them which reduce the shark's overall drag in water.

zagibu: So even if a boy could swim as fast as a shark, he wouldn't hear them coming.
