Looking at the weapons list from World, and assuming it'll be the same for Wilds, I'm thinking Dual Blades could be the way to go - has anyone gone down that route as a main in previous games? Yep, I've mained DB in Rise. Love it! Got started using the Felyne Paws which had some super buff which I think meant you did crits pretty much permanenrtly. It got nerfed in Sunbreak, but by then I was well into DB. Done some lance, hammer and LBG but in the endgame I've found that DB is working best for me. I've not played for a couple of months. I took a break with some Hitman and I'm on my second playthrough of BG3, but the MH itch will come back. I've nearly got the plat for Rise. Just those fucking RNG pendants are holding me back. The ONE SINGLE improvement I would make to the series is to remove the RNG related trophies. They don't reflect on player skill or even really commitment when you also have things like 'Slay 1000 monsters' in there. |

Watching some Bow footage from World via YouTube, I'm honestly amazed at how few of the weapon's moves I knew about (and used) during my playthrough. It's kind of chastening. I'm a dumbass. Should get a coop group together at launch Count me in! |

The weapons I've never really tried are: Gunlance, Charge blade, Greatsword, HBG Tried a bit: Switch Axe, Bow, Insect Glaive, SnS, Hunting Horn, Hammer Tried to main but couldn't master: Longsword  Mained: LBG (sticky quick reload in World - awesome) Lance Dual Blades Did I miss anything? |

Is it confirmed that Wilds will let you equip two weapons and switch between them on the fly?
I think I saw this rumoured somewhere, but I didn't know it was official.

Well, not exactly on the fly - you can store one on your bird friend and then switch between them once you mount it. So you can’t do it during combat.
Still, sounds rad as hell.

I guess it just makes it a bit quicker than trotting back to camp to switch your gear.
Not like the old days, eh lads! Where you had to quit the quest when you realised you'd come with the wrong build.

Some interesting facts from the earlier livestream. No gender locked armor sets is cool and the ability to jump back to the hub area immediately after a hunt rather than waiting a min is handy

Man this looks really fucking good. Also everything points to it being very much a 30fps game and unfortunately we know Capcom seem to be almost absolutely averse to actually putting in a 30fps cap.

If we're really lucky there will be some promo events.
For MHW, Brokenkey and I (and another guy..) went to and event near the Shard where we got the chance to hunt a Jyuratodus and buy a bit of merch.
I feel like it was just a couple of days before release...
