Pork has been dry brined.
Potatoes peeled and in a pan of water.
Sprouts par-cooked, bacon and chestnuts done.
Flying visit to the girlfriend at 7, then I can come back and get on the bourbon.

Good man. Rioja here to go with the takeaway pizza. I’m not doing any more prep for tomorrow now.
The little ‘un and her mum are currently destroying the kitchen via mince-pie-making!

Encanto and popcorn for our Christmas eve film. Picked Gremlins for our Christmas film tomorrow, my 3yr old is going to love it. She loves watching things be naughty.
My wife will be wrapping tonight so I can drink rum and play games while she does that. I pre built all the toys that needed building while they were away. We were strangely organised for us this year.

Ladbaby have made it to Christmas no 1 for a record breaking fourth time in a row. Although as the BBC put it 'An expletive-laden protest song against Boris Johnson has also made the top five.'

My wife is impossible to buy for, all she wanted was books which is fine but unless a box suddenly turns up then most of the said books didn't arrive. Which I've just checked is a massive cock up on my behalf as I forgot to order them so now they'll be here on the 27th. Fuck. Thankfully the Wheel of Time books turned up so that is good. Also she gets a Lego and Koala onesie and slippers and some various other bits but not a lot given I know a couple of things what I'm getting. I asked her for something bigger and she tells me a new phone cover. You just reminded me about books... Thankfully I'm buying for Kindle. I just need to remember to do so during the present part. Yeah we don't do Kindles unfortunately. That would of saved my hide, lol.

So far I’m up two pairs of socks, £50, two boxes of chocolates and a “personalised” plate with a drawing of me on it that borders on outsider art. Decent start with all the big hitters still to come.

Speaking of socks, I spent £45 on 5 pairs of socks this year, making them the most expensive present I bought my partner

Ah, is the International Dateline catching up with a few FGers?
We’re tracking Santa on NORAD here.
Merry Christmas, you lot!
Have a lovely time.

We're traking Santa as well. I just learnt that Bing needs to be unblocked to let it work. Last I saw her was at Lithuania.
Present wise, I've got £100 from parents and in-laws. And there's a Stadia sale on at the moment. I'm guessing that's a sign.

So finally broke and created an Amazon account as it was 25 quid cheaper for the earbuds I wanted to get my wife for Christmas. Opened the box to wrap it and they have sent me an in car led light instead. Too late to be able to sort anything out now so tomorrow is fucked.
Managed to sort a set from Curry's but can't collect until boxing day.
They can stick their Amazon account up their ass as soon as I get the refund as I wont ever be using them again.
The worst bit is the light is no use to her as she doesn't even drive.

Wow, that's a fuck up.
At least open up the earbuds box, and put pebbles in their place. Put some effort into giving you a wrong package, like those stone PS5s. They just slapped a label on anything in your case.

Yeah it's a cluster fuck. They even fucked up the original delivery as the one time password didn't work.
Explained to the wife that tomorrow is going to be shit and she was great about it, just thankful I can grab them from Curry's on Sunday morning.

I've had around 46 billion deliveries from Amazon and I can't think of a single problem I've had with them.

I'm fully on board the cult of Amazon. Prime delivery with their cheaper prices is perfect, with the add on of Prime video(UI aside) it's a bargain.
Long live Amazon!

Been so busy today, but have the table set snd house tidied ready for everyone coming round tomorrow. Just trying to get the kids to sleep while the mrs wraps their presents.
Not been feeling very Christmassy this year, mainly due to being so damned busy and stressed at work and all of us having colds for the last two weeks (testing every day of course). Think we are all over the worst of it now though and looking forward to tomorrow.
On Amazon, I’ve been a customer for many, many years and I can’t think of many (or even any) issues. Count me in the cult.

Half cut and finally wrapped my last few presents and scribbled paw prints all over the shockingly wrapped big one that I seriously struggled to wrap while sober. The cats helped me wrap it is my story and I'm sticking with it.

I’ve been a keen Amazon customer since they started, but am cancelling Prime now as neither the savings nor the deliveries are what they used to be and they will no longer accept Visa Credit as a payment method, which is our cashback card that we use for everything.

Not that I want to push people back to Amazon, but if you're worried about cashback then surely Amex is the way to go (and works with Amazon, PayPal etc)
