Clue is in the title really.
No issues surrounding platform, hardware etc. Just ten games to play until the end of time. Roguelikes will win out here but that's ok Mine: Super Monkey Ball (GC) Super Smash Bros Melee Diablo II Dark Souls Bloodborne Smash the Spire Dungeon Keeper II Populous: the Beginning (if I have opponents only) if not then Dawn of War Soulstorm FFVII because I need to play it every 3 years or so Borderlands II

I’d just take what I’ll never tire of playing↖️

Sure hope persistent online games are allowed or my list changes drastically...
GTA: Online Fortnite Elite Dangerous (being stranded would be the push I need to finally play it) Tekken 7 (if online is allowed); Tekken Tag Tournament 2 (if not) Skyrim Fallout 4 (if mods are allowed); Fallout 3 (if not) Dark Souls Hades Wipeout 2097 Borderlands 2

Dragon Age: Origins Alpha Protocol Mass Effect Legendary Edition (can that count as 1?) Risen 2 Deus Ex: Human Revolution Civilization VI Prominence Poker Red Dead Redemption 2 The Wolf Among Us Injustice 2
The games either fall into being story-driven, where i've already played the m multiple times before and still get excited by the big story moments, have elements of choice that can alter the story, or have online modes which i assume isn't cheating.

10 is tough, but probably…
Tetris Civilization VI Metroid Prime Dragon’s Dogma Destiny / D2 (assuming I have internets on this island??) Demon’s Souls Remake (or maybe Dark or Bloodbourne) No Man’s Sky Advance Wars - probably Dual Strike on the DS Chrono Trigger GTA Vice City (for the soundtrack)
Perhaps unusually those aren’t necessarily the same 10 as my all time favourite games, but a lot of those are one-and-done experiences which would probably not serve quite so well to be stuck with for all eternity.
This 10 I’m sure I could play over and over.

Dark Souls - my first introduction to From Software games only really has one rival to being my favourite of their games. It is something I can endlessly go back to and I actually find fairly relaxing to play now, weirdly.
Bloodborne - my other favourite From Software game. Not quite as relaxing for me as Dark Souls, but the combat in it is pitch perfect and I prefer the boss battles.
Crusader Kings 3 - all the time on a desert island probably wouldn't be enough to explore everything in this. 3 was finally accessible enough for me to actually be able to play this game and see what the fuss was all about.
Quake - bit of fast paced FPS action to enjoy from the glory days of the genre, before it got infected with the modern warfare bug.
DOOM (2016) - could replace this with Eternal, but think this is a slightly more pure version of going back to the genre's roots.
Hitman 3 - 3 games in one! Thought IO did a great job with this, after the supposedly awful Absolution (never actually played it myself). Love the sandbox levels and could explore these for hours.
Portal 2 - the nearest to perfect of any game. Not very replayable, but I could do the co-op with visitors to my island.
Slay the Spire - my Switch is pretty much reserved for this game.
The Witness - I find this a very replayable puzzle game, which is rare for the genre (see Portal 2 above). The sheer number of puzzles means I never remember how to actually do all of them, even if I can recall the rules (often can't).
Hollow Knight - fantastic game. Hopefully Silksong will be out before I set sail for the island and I can take that too.

Oooh, interesting thread. I think I'd pick...
Halo: The Master Chief Collection Civilization VI (the complete edition with all DLC) Stardew Valley Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Mass Effect: Legendary Edition Crackdown Lego Marvel Super Heroes The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Lemmings 2: The Tribes Monkey Island Special Edition Collection
Ummed and ahhed over Monkey Island, but decided like a good book I'd want to experience the story over and over again. And I'm hoping that come next year I'd replace the MCC with Infinite and Lego Marvel with the Skywalker Saga.
Nearly had SWOS in there, too, but I'm too shit at it really.
Edit: just thinking of loads of games I could have had, but don't really know what I'd swap out. Peggle, Slay the Spire, No Man's Sky... oh well! I've made my bed, now I have to lie in it.

Good to see so much love for Fallout. I also prefer Dark Souls 2 over the others because it's the first From game that I completed. You have to know how to play them and 2 was the first game that clicked with me.

Tbh I've padded this list, I could condence it to 5 and still be happy.

Some magnificent lists here. I'll stand by mine but I've been given a lot of games to reconsider
Online is absolutely ok. Which opens up the MMO genre as well
