Also, pro tip. Don't go the Thug.
He gets really fucking strong but by the time you get to the sewers his pellets scatter too widely to do the damage needed to take anything down. If you're going a heavy character the Navvie is probably better.

Mercenary is tricky for the same reason unless you really power up that weapon.
Who has first aid again? Preacher and who else? I think it might be the mercenary
I normally go navvie tbh. Preacher if I'm feeling masochistic.

I used to go Brigand or Navvie with the Gentleman years ago.
Forgot how bloody hard it gets though. I just remembered I didn't finish it when I played recently. I actually gave up at the CE fight with the Thug as it was melting me.
Need to start again.

Well, it isn't now. I'm sure in my 20's with my trusty competition pro joystick I could get through it fine doing 1 player and AI.
Now, I can barely do the forest level without getting hit once

Is anyone else watching this Netflix Resident Evil show? I’m 1.5 episodes in. It’s pretty shit so far, so in keeping with live-action RE tradition.
Actually it makes me wish the series was called Biohazard in the West, because Resident Evil is a haunted mansion name, not a… well a literal biohazard name.

The show was pretty bad, but I watched all of it, so I guess it’s like the games.
Main disappointment was that I would have enjoyed a series that was just WheskerDad trying to cover up stuff with his kids and Umbrella in that gated community and prevent an outbreak, without all that “but in the future it doesn’t matter so don’t care” bullshit. They really blew it with that dual timeline. Imagine just a series that was comedy / horror / drama with Whesker just trying not to be undone each week and get his girls to school, with it changing up drastically at the end of the season rather than per-episode,

Speaking of the show I’m going to make a case for Jade being the worst protagonist in any version of Resident Evil - she’s literally responsible for everything that goes wrong, and almost every on screen death, in the entire series. All of humanity in both timelines would be very materially better off if she literally did nothing or didn’t exist. |

Heh, yeah an odd thing to do but there you go. We need a new Chaos Engine. Dammit. I wish someone would make one. Derailing the RE thread a bit here I know but did you ever play the second one? It's rubbish. Such a shame. It reviewed quite well at the time apparently but playing it now I just can't get on board with it at all. Blasting through RE7 now (well, I do have it on easy). Just done Lucas' funhouse. I am reminded about just how good this game is. It's really fucking good. Still boggles my mind that it was a follow-up to RE6. Been reading the book about it as well, about their whole approach to it. Really interesting.

I thought it was kinda finding its feet by the end. Some utter shite at the start, but I've seen worse get picked up for a second series.
Shame we won't get to see more of Bert. Lance Reddick has some secret range on him.

I thought it would get a second season on name value alone. Being bad never held back the movie franchise afterall.
Although by the end I didn’t mind it as its own thing. It even broke some kind of record for the most obvious foreshadowing with one character’s death which was quite funny.

I quite enjoyed the show but it wasn't good and I'm not particularly surprised it's been canned. Lance Reddick was fun to watch though with the different versions of the same character and who knew he'd actually make a decent Blade?

He's literally just Stoic Lance Reddick in everything. Even in Destiny and Horizon he's the exact same po-faced character he's been in every TV series I've ever seen him in. To see he was capable of goofing off made the whole thing acceptable.
