What I'm saying is Konami don't really care about progressing their IP as a whole other than releasing collections of old games or you know making NFTs. They make ridiculous amounts of money from pachinko machines and their sports and health businesses that they don't need games. It makes me wish they'd just give their IP to people who actually cared and could do something with them, I mean do you remember the state of the Silent Hill HD collection? They do not give a shit. It speaks volumes that the new Pro Evo game was released in the state it was .

Yeah, they are a rubbish games company. Haven't they lost the source code for the Silent Hill games, so they couldn't even remaster them properly if they wanted to? They'd have to do groud up remakes, which could be good but, yeah, doubtful Konami could do it the way they are now. But I think the fidelity is also something that works in favour of 2 and 3. The games still look amazing now. They could at least release the originals/PC versions untouched so they're accessible. Can you get the originals on Steam?

I wouldn't be surprised that they've lost the source code just a bullshit company overall, and I'm glad that Kojima got to leave and do his own thing at the expense of losing MGS which Konami wouldn't know what to do with. Although there's a strong rumour that Virtuous Studios are doing a full remake of MGS3 which I hope isn't bullshit. |

I'm pretty sure they have lost it, which is why the HD remasters were so poor. They had to work with the actual released versions of the games and not the original assets

The thing I hate most about RE6, amongst many things, is the fact that it gives you know indication of the effectiveness of your bullets. Some fights you’re pumping hundreds of thousands of bullets into a boss and you’ve no idea if they are “invincible” at that time or not
For someone that likes to play with precision it’s incredibly frustrating. I don’t like wasting even one shot

Another fan remake, 1st person version of the first game. What makes this one a bit different is they've opted for using the original Ps1 visual style.
And I think it kind of works:
Skip to 2:30 to get past the not so good cutscenes and see some actual gameplay 😅

Yeah I agree, despite the two camps (Traditional Resi vs Action Resi) I love each side of the franchise Except RE6 which I actually hate with fiery passion I’m definitely a trad guy. Not that I think the action games like 4 are bad, they just don’t scratch my Resi itch. |

Resident Evil 1 inspired first-person indie game released recently. Looks a bit like the video I posted earlier. Not sure if it's any good, but it only costs £3.19 and there is a demo store.steampowered.com/app/1848450/Nightmare_of_Decay/Looks like the ripped alot of assets, so might get taken down at some point. |

The only Silent Hill game that comes up for me on Steam is Homecoming, while SH4: The Room is available on gog... I am not able to find any other SH games on either platform; am I missing something?
