Just started Shadowbringers here, playing about 3 hours a week with a friend, though part of time is doing levelling and alliance roulette, and had a few diversions to complete a couple of the raid series.
Still enjoying it.

With the launch of the Xbox version I think I'm going back to this after..9 years. Are there any FGers in clans or people jumping in?
I'll probably start again as I can't remember a thing. I have a level 50 Bard on Odin but would start fresh on a given server if anyone active.
Although I can't promise I'll have tons and tons of time to dedicate these days.

I'd like to get back into it. Had to stop towards the end of Stormblood as an mmo wasn't really compatible with a baby who could wake up and demand attention at any moment. Kids are better now but I still don't really have the time for it.
Fingers crossed the servers are still running when they go off to uni.

It's been going for over 10 years and going from strength to strength so probably! š
I actually finished the whole msq the other day and done all the raid content too. I'm still playing daily, but I mostly just pootle around listening to bards or doing the player run stuff.
Went to an aquarium the a few weekends ago, and got a guided tour and bought some stuff from the gift shop on the way out.
Looking forward to Dawntrail now though!

Pre-ordered the new expansion and thought it was time to return to the game to finish up the MSQ and level up the rest of my jobs to 90. Also wanted to do the FFXVI crossover event as I also enjoyed my time in that game.

Looking to play PS5 ideally - is it a case of re buying everything again? Is it worth waiting for this new expansion?

Your account can be accessed on any platform (not sure if there are extra hoops for the XBox), but you need to own the client on each platform you want to play on. I don't know if they still do an update route for PS4 to PS5 - that might have just been a thing when the PS5 version was new.

That said, you might just buy a bundle cheaper than getting the missing ones. I think Dawntrail comes with Shadowbringers and Endwalker as well (not 100% sure) |

Where are the FG kids? I'm on Odin but I'm going to roll another character for a bit while I try to remember how to play again. Apparently I can't port my settings from my PC and can't even remember how to switch jobs right now :s

My main character is on Twintania but I've not played in ages as I unsubbed. Really need to get back into it at some point as I was just about finishing the first part of Shadowbringers. I think I stopped due to Elden Ring coming out and then it got into nice weather so I unsubbed. It's such a timesink, a good one at that, love being in the world and still have so much I would like to do. I did start a character on Odin as well. Really don't know if I should resub. Damn life, job and family getting in the way.  It was lockdown when I started playing it and had plenty time to kill. |

I'm on Twintania too, but with the freedom to switch worlds and data centres it hardly matters.
I noticed the added oceania to data centre switch too, so wouldn't be surprised if US or Japan were add too at some point.

I started the Xbox version recently after playing on PS4 years ago. My Bard appeared from the PS version but can't remember how to play them so started a Gladiator. I'm on Odin and about level 30ish. I'm hugely overlevelled for where I am in the MSQ

Huh, didn't realize they were giving away starter editions of FFXIV as a Game Pass perk. Guess that's my third system for this game now.

Interesting new FFXIV website:
One thing I like they didn't mention in the video is that your character will be cross-referenced in any FFLogs that were uploaded so you can see how you did even if you yourself don't run any logging mods.

Also it seems like progression markers could be used against raiders, not that I do anything other than casual raids as I'm more of a social player.
Incidentally I listen to a lot of Pathra, her drama series is so funny.

Yeah I did have a nose, I'm already on there via the lodestone link so it's already pulling data from the official site. I may take a more in-depth look later, I liked the photo mode stuff.

Are you sure you are logged into the correct version of FFXIV that has your missing character? If you are on PC, you should know the Steam and regular PC versions are 2 completely separate things. Squeenix really need to clean up their archaic restrictions regarding accessibility making it easier for people to give them money. |

Errr.. The PS4 version is 66.13gb, the PS5 version is 54.40gb. Why or, indeed, how that can be is beyond me. And don't bother asking why I have both versions installed either. If you wind up on Light, do say hello, and if you have to start over I'll give you a leg up if welcome |
