Yes, the entries are joined together via "username+forum" once the month is over, and the last entry to a field overwrites the previous ones.

So let's say you submit the form three times:

monday:    1) Super Mario,     2) Legend of Zelda
tuesday:    1) Super Metroid, 2) -
friday:       1) Super Turrican, 2) -

...then your final combined entry is 1) Super Turrican, 2) Legend of Zelda.

(and spend ages reminding myself which version of a franchise screenshot XX was)

You don't have to remember the franchise entry, the series is enough (unless I speficially say otherwise).

Much weaker effort from me this time around. Point & click games have never really been in my radar, so apart from the very obvious ones and a couple haymakers based on the hints I've got zilch...

I just hope there wasn't a Professor Layton in there anywhere (if they even count as point & clicks), I'll be kicking myself if I missed that

Turns out I don't know my point & clicks as well as I thought. It was much harder than I was expecting.

Even doing a little research proved to be difficult. Any search that included "point & click" seemed to return hardly anything.

Couple of previous quizzes I've done I think I scored around 14. Hoping I can do a bit better with this one, but don't think it will be by much!

From my attempt, it was a nice mix of obvious (especially given its just recognising the series, rather than the specific game), and some real obscure stuff.

I don't know how well I did, but there were two, I think, that I couldn't even take a stab at, and I was certainly scratching my head for a while with some of the ones I did end up going for. One picture in particular I think was a sneaky move (and I loved it), though would have been moreso if we had to guess the actual game name.

Exciting, exactly the same amount of players as last round - 153 people! How did that happen?

Seems to have been a balanced round with answer rates from 10% to 100%.

A quick pie chart on the SoundFX survey, which unfortunately wasn't very informative:

Only 20% "yes" votes is a bit weak, it would have to be three times as many for me to do such a round again. That's why I'm taking a different approach now. Until the next quiz (i.e. for about a week) you can check out all the past sound quizzes at www.retrogamequiz.com. April Quiz - Super Mario

Since last week the new Super Mario Bros movie is out, how about we do a promo round to celebrate the dear plumber?

We've already had Sega, Atari or Commodore as a theme.... and here's the (sort-of) Nintendo puzzle at last.

I was delayed over the Easter holidays, but I hope to be able to get this round online just before the 10th of April is over.

To avoid entries like "25x Super Mario", this time a clear announcement: You have to give the exact game! °_°

Only if at least 20% of all players make the same mistake in an answer you'll still score. So if 20 out of 100 people specify just "Super Mario Pottery Champion" or the famous third game instead of the correct answer "Super Mario Pottery Champion 2 redux", you might get points for that. Don't rely on it!

Deadline is Sunday the 30th of April, enter via retrogamequiz.com.
