Warsteiner just now. A leffe blonde later. Warsteiner is my favourite beer,it got me through my teens. On my only trip to Germany thus far, I very much enjoyed trying as many different beers & types of beers as i could find. If i had been there in my teens, i'm not sure i'd remember much of those years! 😆

Heh, I was right on the border of Holland too. All that great beer and a 30min trip to coffee shops.

Anyone tried Kossenkorva? Enjoyable Finnish vodka.
If I had a steady supply of Zoladkowa Gorzka I'd probably be dead by now. That stuff is lovely neat.
Neither of the above btw... Run and coke after a couple of beers.

I appear to have drank half my vodka. It's gone down easier than expected.
EDIT: Now bypassed half. May transition to the drinking too much thread by tomorrow.
But it is lovely.

Well you heathens have pretty much made me get one of those Krups things. Reviews please! Yeh. So it's pretty great. Really easy to set up and use and virtually no maintenance or cleaning to do as far as I can tell. Big downside is that Beerwulf have a monopoly on the beer kegs and they're really expensive. Works out only slightly cheaper than drinking at the pub, maybe even the same if you live up north. They also charge £9 delivery unless you buy eight 2 litre kegs at once. Given that they cost up to £18 themselves and the Best Before Dates can be as short as one month that's taking the piss I think. But overall it's probably worth it. The beer they use is really fresh and (I think) straight from the brewery. If you want the pub experience at home for the same price as a bottle or can it ain't for you (it's no homebrew machine), but as an occasional treat it's great. Going to get through these Bizza Mozzas they sent as part of the package then try a few Belgian beers/IPAs.

Got some Heineken 0.0% in the fridge lads, let’s rock out straight-edge style tonight!

I don't mind the 0.0 - for some reason the ubiquitous metallic 'tang' you get from AF beer is more pronounced in the canned version than the bottle though, so I stick to bottles of that when I have it in.

Yeah, I don't mind Heineken 0%. That and Brewdog punk AF are my go to. But I need proper beer, so Estrella it is

Enjoy that estrayer, just cracked open a 0.0 in solidarity. I don’t mind it, it’s close enough to the real thing unless you drink them back to back where it falls very short. I’m not really a lager drinker anyway so that’s not a problem I have to face often

Follow the Bear.
Only really remember Skol because of the association with Hagar.

Nanny State/Punk IPA non-alcho. It's the most acceptable one I've found as of yet. Adnam's Ghost Ship isn't too bad either. Heineken 0 tastes like piss, though still better than Bud Light. The less said about some of the others, the better.

I was on the Becks AF stuff at the start of the week. It's not actually too bad but I definitely need something better. Doesn't help that I think Becks is shit anyway mind you. I've tried the bud one which is a bit better but it needs to be a step up from that to be a viable option.

FreeDamm 0% lager is your friend folks. It's nice and doesn't seem to have so much of that AF tang to it. Coast (I think also have an ok Hazy iPa thing) and brooklyn have a more malty 'special effects' beer which is decent too.
Found a few low alcohol 0.3-0.5% beers from mikkeller of late and their stuff is usually good. I'll try to remember to update once i try them.

Me too but I like something fizzy and lagerish in the evenings to trick me into thinking I'm drinking alcohol. I'll check out FreeDamm I think as heard nice things about that before (possibly on here / the other place). I see that Guardian article gave a 4/5 to the Heineken one... Pretty sure I've tried that before as well but I'll maybe remind myself what it's like. Brew Dog can fuck off.

The sainsburys own brand af lager was fantastic. A shame that's no longer about. Lucky Saint is the best widely available af lagers imo.

The Big Drop range is the best AF for me by far...give the Father-in-Law the stout when he comes round and he is none the wiser
