If you really want to see how the boots mesh with the whole thing, i will ask someone at work to take a picture of me. There's a woman there i like, so i'm sure it will impress her when i say it's for my friends on the internet.
Actually, Monday 11th October will be my first day of doing face-to-face meetings with clients, so i've got something a little special planned. A three-piece suit in a shade between blood and wine red. Tiger Woods always wears red on the final day of a tournament, and it's said to be an intimidating colour, and i need to show my colleagues/rivals and the general public that there is a new sheriff in town.
If it doesn't have the opposite effect and is instead just like a red flag to a bull, and doesn't end with someone goring me, i'll be sure to get a photograph of that.

You do come across as a bit of a misogynist. And by a bit I mean a lot

There’s absolutely a far right/fedora & trench coat/katana(sic) connection, in the US more than here at least Well OK, but that's pound shop Matrix cosplay not snappy dressing. ETA he's wearing trainers and a vest FFS.

I'm beginning to read all Rods posts aloud in my head in a gritty American drawl with sirens and jazz music somewhere in the distance.

I also read his posts with sirens in the background but for different reasons.

Eh, the outcome of this little exchange has been far more positive than i had hoped.
Almost all of the negativity is, quite patently, absolute bullshit that no one in their right mind would take seriously. But i do appreciate all the little fleeting moments of positivity.

I actually played Cyberpunk as a chick, predominately in denim hot pants and a pink leather jacket. Cool - and what was your base character like in the game? #obligatory

I’m not sure if it’s all an elaborate ruse but I don’t care either way, Roddy is incredibly entertaining on this forum

Yeah. Always utterly baffling, but sometimes quite wholesome. Then he ruins it all and goes all misogynistic on us.
I'd compare him to James Bond, but he'd probably get the wrong idea.

I don't know why people keep calling me a character, but i'm starting to think maybe i am one.
I think i give off this impression of being confident and outgoing, but in reality i'm only that way around people who i don't care that much about. It's why i'm able to say basically anything to any woman i meet, but it's a facade.
I'm learning a lot about the real me, from how i am around this woman i fancy at work. The real me is timid, and pathetic, and agonises internally over every little interaction i have with the people i like. I have had literally hundreds of witty chat up lines and all the opportunity i could want to deliver them, but i haven't because i'm scared it wont land.
Instead i pay her compliments that are just pathetically earnest.
Compared to a night out at a bar last week where, through a series of events a woman at the table next to me said i could try a chat up line on her friend, i actually said, noticing the carpe diem tattoo on her wrist 'oh, you like latin do you, well how about latin me into your knickers?'
80 percent of the time, that line doesn't work. I know it, but don't care about the consequences so can just say it.
In this case it did work, but that was likely only because the entire reason for the conversation was they overheard me talking about some drunkard who came out of the bathroom and started telling random women he was thinking about them in there while holding himself and how i couldn't believe it ever even drew a smile. And it worked in the sense that we just continued the conversation and then went our separate ways at closing time.
Is the me that can just say and do whatever i want the real me, or am i at my realest around someone i've grown to truly care about? I don't care about yo-yoing, i'm just literally picking up hobbies to see if anything impresses her in the break room. In the past fortnight i've taken up origami, magic, smoking and playing the kalimba.
I'm sorry. We're at the i've been drinking portion of the evening now. But those of you who think i'm just a pathetic joke, well i've been feeling that way too recently, and it ain't getting any better. Obviously despite my bravado last weekend i did not sweep her off her feet on Monday, i bottled it.
But yeah, this place can be a pretty good distraction sometimes from my current woes.

It demonstrates dexterity, is just a little quirky, and i was pretty good at the yo-yo as a kid so i'm hoping it will just all come back to me.
I mean, shooting the moon, walking the dog, those are all pretty easy tricks anyway... i'm gonna need to practice if i want to do cats cradles or anything like that, but i'm not starting from scratch like i was with origami.

One should never underestimate the wooing ability of a man proficient in the art of the yo-yo.

I’ve probably mentioned this before but when you could get those Coca Cola, Sprite and Fanta Yo-yos in the 80s I actually won the limited edition gold one but I can’t find it now
It was fucking awesome but strangely it did NOT get me any pussay

But seriously mate, coming here from a completely different forum those last two sentences make it hard to take anything you say at face value. If they're true you're trying way too hard.

Someone else said on here recently that you need to pick one thing and stick to learning just that. Sound advice.
... So it's obviously got to be the kalimba. Or just, you know, what YOU actually want to do. Smoking definitely shouldn't be that thing.

I'm real enough.
In fact, if anyone wants to verify it and is
a) willing to dress like a western character b) willing to vow to me that they will not tell any of the women attending that i fancy one of them quite a lot
there is an open invitation to my birthday party in Essex at the tail end of January.
