Sounds like a hint to me, go find your local community and pick up a unicorn for you both.

You know, mowgli has been immortalized time and again by us, I think he owes us some gratitude. Sure, the thing he's remembered for isn't exactly inventing the combustion engine or painting the Mona Lisa (although I didn't see his "work") but still.
I wish I could recover that drawing some crafty forumite made the day after the facts in that thread. It was glorious.
There was also an MS Paint one done closer to the time, but that seems to have vanished from its hosting.

I meant the latter. It was an artist's rendition of the subject in the middle of the illustrious act with a big, bright moon shining through the window in the background.
Some sleuth work reveals it was user Fatiguez who produced this magnificent piece but it is nowhere to be found anymore.

Fatiguez produced some wonderful pieces over the years. I used to enjoy his drawn descriptions of Heroes more than the episode itself

I remember my grandmother telling me that if I were ever to marry, I should make sure she was kind. But she might just as well have said: "Find yourself a woman who's nice to waiters." The way people treat restaurant staff is, I think, a kind of poker tell you think, revealing a person's character in as long as it takes to say: "I'll have the sea bass." A man (or woman) who is actively unpleasant to waiters is best avoided. & those who patronise them. Just as bad, though, are people who treat waiters as though they're invisible or not one of equal. This is not, as these cretins seem to think, a sign of metropolitan sophistication. Do this, and you might as well be wearing a T-shirt that says: "I'm an over-privileged baboon: & cold, ruthless, rude and rather stupid."

That's the one! A true masterpiece.
Edit: Wasn't there another one, with him shouting "Morag, I've done it again!"

That drawing is a thing of beauty. I'm so happy it has been preserved.

Ahh finally a place I can get behind. So what's happening with the old EG Forum? Are they finally closing it down?

I always thought it was a wicker chair I'd thought it was an armchair.

the MS one is a thing of beauty! I've never seen it before and Decks really should get his own drawing into this thread before the close down for all to see.

The release of the new Evangelion film enticed me to go back and rewatch the last few episodes of the original series (on Netflix). Still as crazy and as affecting as the first time I watched them. But with one thing and another I realized I'd never actually watched End of Evangelion so stuck it on and let me tell you, once you get past the scene of Shinji wanking over a comatose Asuka, it really fills in a few gaps in the story.

At least he didn't shit on a chair. Though in fairness, I've not seen the fourth Rebuild movie yet. Maybe he does in that.

robthehermitSo your fantastical response to winning the lottery and your wildest sex dreams are "a new TV" and "a nice cup of tea" respectively?... Keep dreaming those crazy dreams!

What is it with women who post photos of themselves so heavily filtered that it makes them look like a different person. Like they do it on their Facebook and people write things like "oh you look amazing". Yes and you know this person and know they look nothing like the picture they posted. I just don't get it, who the fuck are they doing it for, yes the photo makes you look like you lost 5 stone, covered the lens in vaseline and took a selfie but everyone including you know it's not you.

I can't. What's even funnier is that the person in mind has a partner who is older than her by some ways so when she takes a picture of them together all of his wrinkles go and he looks like that baby picture Decks posts.

We have a similar issue at work. Since Covid we have gone from about 120 employees to 170, and about 30 positions that were recycled. The bulk of the business is 20-30 year old women. HR told everyone to add a profile picture to M365 and a month later had to remind half the business that Teams isn't Tinder, can we have some realistic pictures please.
I'm almost impressed how different some of them can get their profile pictures to look.

Usually I think people look better in person than in their online pictures. I don't use social media personally though so find the filter usage jarring. I suppose everyone does it so it's just seen as acceptable
It's going to be strange looking back at all your photos when you're old and five million of them are all close ups of your face that sort of look like you but not really
