When I worked at CITV, I was asked to create a viewer feedback interstitial called "Flea Mail". The idea was different fleas would read out letters from the kids. There were a few of us who were supposed to be playing different fleas reading out different types of letter, but to be honest, after a couple of "episodes" it all fell apart because no one was really sending stuff in. So it was just me in the end, playing this flea called Marcus Wingspan. And since I created my first Twitter account I've used him as an avatar, as I liked him a lot and it was fun voicing an animated character for a while.
Also as he was supposed to the one covering film reviews or what kids had been watching/reading etc, I got to write an entertainment newsletter "as" Marcus, which got me on mailing lists for films and games and stuff. It was a good time.

Have you heard the version they released on Spotify, minus all the samples? It's... Odd. Yea, it's a bit toothless, can see why they did it becaue no way they getting clearance for the the original, but still, won't be listening to that version very often. Got a copy of Space as well somehere, but lacking a functioning turntable. Oh it's on YT, am gonna have to listen, not heard in years.

Desverger -the sniper/ranger character from Hired Guns, an Amiga game I liked. I should probably change it up really, I've had it since first joining EG and it's not even that nice looking MC 128-7 CIM -the mech character from Hired Guns, an Amiga game I liked. I changed it  EDIT - might be a little aggressive looking... I went back to Desverger. Des for short. The mech guy with weird mouthguns was too angry looking. |

Not bad, about 73 more than I paid for it, from a a bargain bin in a Bradford comic/record shop, no mention of KLF on it.. probably didn't know what they had. Still, not retiring just yet. |

So I mentioned above that my little cartoon flea avatar was responsible for a newsletter covering entertainment releases, and as a result I was on a mailing list for some new titles. Well as it happens today I was reminded ("on this day so many years ago...") of two of the hot-hot-HOT titles that were sent to us at the CITV office. Don't you feel jealous now?  To be fair, actually, the Sesame Street game was quite good for little kids, although mine was too young at the time to really understand what was going on. |

I just happened to be re-reading the excellent DC Flintstone's comic when this place sprang up, and Wilma is kind of hot.
I like this pose, because a lot of my posts tend to be defensive. Like, why are you saying these things to me?

Oh, it's probably not worth sharing then. Nothing especially funny happened, except that the Citybowl is closed apparently until 2022.
Kelsey was cool about it. She asked what we were going to do until then, and wanted to make sure that the closure of Chelmsford's second-best bowling alley wasn't going to push me over the edge.
Satisfied that i wasn't going to drive us off a bridge, she got in my car and we drove into the town centre where fortunately a Caribbean restaurant was able to have us. A nice meal, some fine rum, and the charming company of a woman who was even more attractive in real life than in her photos.
We had only been exchanging messages for about six days prior, with a few video calls so we knew we had a decent rapport but in real life we just clicked instantly.
So it was a win. We're going out again this weekend, but she's going to make the arrangements as i am incapable.

We already know that we'll have a bowling-themed wedding where everyone wears rockabilly style bowling shirts, and multi-coloured shoes. I would definitely recommend using the video call ability before meeting anyone from the Internet. I don't think that was a thing the last time I had to use an online dating website about 14 years ago. That is a story more suited to the thread I think. |
