Looks really nice. Great screenshots.
But best MMO since WoW doesn't tell me much. First of all, where are all the other players, if it's an MMO? And secondly, I hated WoW, so yeah...
But I have never liked any of the MMORPGs I've tried. They were all dull and boring.

Some screenshots of Convoy, a fun little roguelike that is a bit sci-fi mad max themed.

Oh yeah, Artful Escape is top-tier bizarre rock opera. Great entertainment if you want some "WTF!?" moments but in a good way.

Doom 3: Playing through this again felt a lot like Half Life 1 and 2, insofar as that it feels like a journey.
The Monorail, one of the few times that the game just leaves the player alone for a bit.
But of course it crashes... Half Life 2 Episode 1 has something similar and it's in a section which is particularly dark and with a lot of Zombies, so it felt rather reminiscent of Doom 3.
Up the ladder. Kind of an abandoned section of the track.
Somewhere in Delta Betruger destroys a bridge to stop the player. It took a very long time to get to the other side of it. I basically had forgotten about it when I arrived there from the other side.
I have a strong memory of this little place from my first playthrough (like 15 years ago or something). At the end of a ventilation shaft there's this little chamber that is basically unapproachable and closed off. I remember that I wouldn't have minded just staying there. But of course, eventually one has to hit "Extend Service Ladder".
Right before Caverns, the ending section.

Decided to have a bit of a playthrough of The Long Dark, starting at one end of the map and trying to make it to the other.
Depending on what goes wrong, I'll start in Broken Railroad, and go Forlorn Muskeg -> Mountain Town -> Mystery Lake -> then see how it goes. Initially I thought I'll head for Desolation Point, but Pleasant Valley and Timberwolf Mountain are options. Horrible options.
Playing on Voyageur (Normal) and I intend to stay only three nights max on each map. This means I don't really have to worry about trapping food, as I can scavenge what I need from cupboards and animal carcasses. So if I can find some decent clothes, that leaves the wildlife as the major danger - I find it very hard to shoot with a controller so I'm using mouse and keyboard for the shooting and a controller for traversal. Bit of a nightmare.
There are the usual teething problems: My ribs! Craaaaaackkkkk!!
Finally, a start where I survive longer than ten minutes.
Broken Railroad is a compact area so despite starting at a random place on the map, you're never far from the Maintenance Shed:
It has lots of loot, if you're lucky enough to come across a prybar. This time I found the prybar but nothing else useful - no sewing kit, no decent clothes.
I did get well fed and rested, in advance of going up to the Hunting Lodge on the map to try and find a rifle:
Avoided the Moose this time, and no rifle, but the revolver is easier to use in any case:
Back down to the Maintenance Shed, and decide to blow town the next morning. Unfortunately the revolver didn't help when I was attacked by a wolf, but I was able to patch myself up and carry on. Note my Condition Bar at the bottom left has dropped rapidly.
But I make it to the rail tunnel to the next area - Forlorn Muskeg, a map of frozen swamp with few shelters. Getting through it will be challenging, especially with my body temperature plunging. Once the thermometer on the bottom left reaches zero, it starts eating into my already shortened condition bar. I'm sure it will be fine.

The indoor shots from Doom3 still hold up very well. Not totally surprised as they did look good at the time, plus darkness hides a multitude of sins. It's only really the low poly outdoor rocks that show its age.
Please tell me Convoy has little dudes who jump onto your vehicles and have to be fought off?

Bit of bondo, lick of paint, that'll polish right out. Please don't tell the insurance company how much I love this game (Wreckfest)
It is possible I misjudged this corner
And this one
Crossing the finish line feels like a win
Oval racing! Fun! Imagine that
Old Volvo estates have a special place in my heart
If memory serves, I still ended up finishing ~sixth
This track has a full loop-the-loop too
First lap
Things go... downhill... a few laps in

It's interesting how during my replay of BioShock I did almost never consider posting any screenshos. I think it's partially that Doom 3 just looks much sharper in comparison.

So in advance of Forza Horizon 5, I've been playing the previous game, one that I don't feel I've spent enough time with (these are all from Series X, BTW, I know this is supposed to be a PC thread). It's interesting, because now I'm playing FH5, looking back at FH4, you can notice the jump in geometric detail and foliage density, as well as (I think) improved lighting. Either way, they're both very pretty games. Fun fact: the flying mini photo features a cameo from a big hill near where I grew up in North Yorkshire.
