Discord is generally fine as a tool, has plenty of uses. I used it a lot over lockdown when playing WoW Classic etc., and I've also found it useful for asking general questions or getting answers from other players (and even devs) when jumping into certain strategy titles, or playing early access games where they are still trying to iron out the bugs. Most of the ones I'm in are much more laid back and do not have the frenetic, emoji spam, meme fest of others. Also very useful from providing free and easy comms if you're playing with friends etc. It's just not the same thing as a Forum, though. And outside of clans/guilds, there's not always a tremendous sense of community as the userbase(s) tend to fluctuate so regularly. As such, very glad this has been set up  |
